2028 Top Prospects
Noah Tameron  OF - 2028 - Mesa, AZ
Uncommitted

Tameron was one of the better overall performers on both sides of the ball and on the mound. Ran a 7.29 60-yd dash and showed athleticism and defensive skill both in the OF and INF. Had a strong BP, barreling several LDs through the middle of the field with a swing that translated into gameplay where he launched two balls that one-hopped the LF wall. Also showed fundamentally sound mechanics and a quick arm on the mound, running his fastball up to 78, while mixing in a changeup and curveball he landed for strikes.


2029 Top Prospects
Caleb Smith  MIF - 2029 - Chandler, AZ

Smith was impressive in all facets last weekend. Easily one of the more advanced players defensively showing strong actions both in the OF and INF. At the plate, he displayed a smooth/rhythmic LH swing with above avg. bat/hand speed for his level. He was a line drive machine both in BP and in-game where he added three XBHs over the CF’s head. He also jumped on the mound for a shutout inning of work where he showed a loose and easy delivery, running his fastball up to 78 and showing decent feel for a sweeping breaker.

Cohen Fuller  SS - 2029 - St. George, UT

Fuller was one of the more physical and athletic players we had this past weekend that translated to some strong defensive skill and impact at the plate. In the OF and INF, he demonstrated quality footwork with sure glove actions and an above avg. arm that got off accurate throws. At the plate, he gets to easy some easy power/impact that showed in BP as well as in-game with a couple hard shots deep into CF. Was also a standout on the mound, exhibiting a loose and quick arm where his fastball got up to 78 while also landing his curveball and changeup.

Romeo De La Torre  SS - 2029 - Corona, CA

De La Torre performed well in just about everything he did last weekend. Ran a solid 7.65 60-yd dash and was one of the better defensive skilled players in both the OF and INF showing sure and clean glove actions and an above avg. arm for his level that made accurate throws to the bag. During BP, it was a strong round where he impacted the ball very well to the pullside, then in gameplay he went the other way for a hard double over the RF’s head. Then on the mound, he was just as impressive showing sound and balanced mechanics which allowed him to pound the strike zone with his low 70s, T74 fastball.

Hunter Dewey  RHP - 2029 - Clovis, CA

Dewey was a solid showcase workout performer but really stood out at the plate during gameplay where he collected three XBHs. In the box, he’s a left-handed hitter who operates from a balanced stance and shows a smooth and easy move into launch. His hands work short to the baseball for a more direct barrel path. All three of his hits were deep into CF, displaying some above avg. bat-speed and impact for his level along with a adv. middle of the field approach.

Mason Talboy  C - 2029 - Queen Creek, AZ

Talboy showed developing defensive actions from multiple spots but really stood out at the plate. It started in BP where he was on-barrel throughout his round, displaying quick hands within a compact LH stroke that shows strong use of the lower half. Then the swing translated in-game where he had two hard LD knocks, one into the LC gap and the other back up the middle.

Jamie Justice  OF - 2029 - Las Vegas, NV

Justice showed well during both the showcase workout and gameplay portion. Started with his 7.39 60-yd dash and OF workout where he works with an aggressive approach to the baseball and showed an accurate arm. At the plate, he showed a simple and direct LH stroke that produced a couple of hard GB knocks in-game. He also jumped on the mound and was dominant during his outing where he worked exclusively from the stretch with a deceptive left-handed operation down the mound. He ran his fastball up to 72 and showed feel to land his secondaries.

Ezra Orona  OF - 2029 - Las Cruces, NM

Orona showed quality defensive skill, feel to hit and solid pitching ability. Has a strong approach to the baseball in the OF with a loose arm and decent strength that got off accurate 1-hop throws to the bag (72 mph). At the plate, he barreled a couple deep fly balls to the pullside for doubles displaying his ability to catch it out front with backspin. On the mound, he uses a clean/repeatable operation to throw strikes and pitch to contact.


2030 Top Prospects
Declan Hordichuk  C - 2030 - Scottsdale, AZ

Hordichuck was one of the better arms of this Gateway group while also finding multiple barrels during gameplay. On the mound, he worked fast and pounded the strike zone with a low 70s fastball. Also showed his ability to land his secondaries. At the plate, he stands in a taller relaxed stance and uses a simple/quiet move into launch. His hands work quick/direct to the baseball and he produced a couple hard line drives back through the middle of the field.

Angel Sanchez Jr  SS - 2030 - Litchfield Park, AZ

Sanchez Jr. was solid during his showcase defensive workout and was an easy offensive standout during BP and gameplay. Showed a simple and compact LH swing that produced multiple barrels during BP which translated to live pitching. He collected three hits, all of them hard hit line drives through the middle of the field.

Maxton Baracy  OF - 2030 - Santa Monica, CA

Baracy stood out both with his present two-way skill and overall physical projection (6-2/160). In the OF, it was fundamental defensive actions working aggressively to and through the baseball with a quality arm that got off downhill accurate throws to the bag. Also showed well offensively. Displayed a smooth LH stroke that pounded the RC gap during BP and produced all-fields line drive barrels during gameplay. On the mound, he threw three shutout innings. Worked fast with his uptempo delivery and filled up the strike zone with a low 70s fastball and a low 60s breaker.
