3-Gold vs. 4-Gray Game Highlights

1/5/2025

Maxton Baracy (2029 RHP, Santa Monica, CA) collected his third hit of the weekend with an opposite field single through the 5-6 hole showing his ability to work the whole field. Has been consistently on-time and on-barrel throughout all his ABs.

Braden Grimm (2029 1B, Phoenix, AZ) had himself a nice opposite field single this game. Simple swing operation. Caught this one deeper in the zone but was still able to put barrel to it. More of a direct/linear barrel path where he does a good job keeping his head down through contact.

Angel Sanchez Jr (2030 SS, Litchfield Park, AZ) grounded one hard through the middle of the field for his third hit of the showcase. Not a whole lot of impact right now but his feel to hit, more specifically hit feel for the barrel has really stood out.

Noah Tameron (2028 OF, Mesa, AZ) showed off the impact again with another loud flyball that one-hopped the LF wall for a double. Does a really good job setting an on-plane bat path early and catching it out front which allows him to lift it well to the pullside.

Romeo De La Torre (2029 2B, Temecula, CA) had one of the better swings of the whole weekend with his opposite field double over the RF's head. Just a good overall piece of hitting going with the outside FB. Showed quality strength and quickness to the hands that throw a short/direct barrel to the baseball. De La Torre also threw two shutout innings on the mound, pounding the strike-zone at a high rate (70%) and running his fastball into the low 70s.

BP Highlights

1/4/2025

Bennet Hilbert (2029 SS, Gilbert, AZ) Showed quick hands through the zone and keeps his barrel flat, allowing him to make hard, line drive contact.  He allows the ball to get deep and isn't afraid to drive the ball the other way.

Maddox Bell (2030 C, Phoenix, AZ) Showed tools to like moving forward, as he turned the barrel nicely and showed some present bat speed. He creates some whip to his barrel and should continue to add more power as he physically matures.

Noah Tameron (2028 OF, Mesa, AZ) Showed present bat speed and some feel for the barrel during his round, as the athletic 2028 sent several line drives back through the middle. He gets on-plane efficiently and maintains good posture into launch, while exhibiting some budding power that will expand as he matures.

Eric Austin (2029 1B, Phoenix, AZ) He looks to make line drive contact and works primarily back up the middle of the field.  He's short to the ball and drives it hard when he makes contact out in front of the plate.

Romeo De La Torre (2029 2B, Temecula, CA) Hit from a balanced stance and was very consistent in his load and trigger mechanisims, enabling him to make very consistent hard pull line drive contact.  He projects well with the bat.

Maxton Baracy (2029 RHP, Santa Monica, CA) Has a long and lean 6-2/160 build that stands out for his age and a nice Left-handed swing.  He loads very well and produced lots of hard right center field contact.

Christopher Galaz (2029 C, Las Cruces, NM) All-field, mature approach. was on the barrel with some loud line-drives. Shows excellent intent in swing

Mason Talboy (2029 C, Queen Creek, AZ) Solid approach in BP, Quick hands, on the barrel throughout. Power potential

Kayden Grandil (2029 OF, Chandler, AZ) Showed solid bat speed with intention. Some barrels. Employed a pull approach

Caleb Smith (2029 SS, Chandler, AZ) Did a nice job of generating consistent line drives throughout his round. He stayed through the middle-of-the field extremely well and flashed some hand speed that projects impact moving forward.

3-Gold vs. 5-Green Game Highlights

1/5/2025

Shai Rasmussen (2029 OF, Salem, OR) grounded one hard down the LF line for single. Direct hands showing a steeper barrel path conducive to putting the ball on the ground.

Caleb Smith (2029 SS, Chandler, AZ) added another XBH over the CF's head and threw a quick shutout inning where he K'd the side running it up into the upper 70s. Just advanced skill both at the plate and on the mound.

Jack McCormick (2029 RHP, Mohave Valley, AZ) started the game for Team Gold and threw three shutout innings. Filled up the zone at a 64% rate. FB worked into the mid 70s and landed several breaking balls for strikes and a couple whiffs.

Cohen Fuller (2029 OF, Las Vegas, NV) was another two-way standout this game. Found a loud barrel over the CF's head for a double, displaying above avg. bat/hand speed. Also jumped on the mound and struck out three in his two innings. FB lived in the mid 70s, T78 and mixed in a developing upper 60s breaker.

Maddox Bell (2030 C, Phoenix, AZ) had a nice opposite field single. Stayed short/simple on a high upper 70s fastball. Hands stayed inside of it allowing the barrel to catch it deep to line it the other way.

Steven-Demitri Haluschak (2030 C, El Paso, TX) found enough barrel to line one softly over the 2B's head for a single. Simple stroke showing a more direct barrel path.

4-Gray vs. 5-Green Game Highlights

1/5/2025

Angel Sanchez Jr (2030 SS, Litchfield Park, AZ) found his second LD knock of the weekend in his first game on Sunday. Lined it back up the middle for a single. Easy balance to the swing, staying behind it well with a path that stays short/connected to it with length through contact.

Dylan Sullivan (2029 C, Roseville, CA) lined one into the 3-4 hole for a single. Minimal waisted moves to the swing. Turns the barrel well behind the baseball.

Ezra Orona (2029 OF, Las Cruces, NM) collected his second pullside XBH of the weekend. Loose hands turn the barrel with intent to catch it out front.

Declan Hordichuk (2030 3B, Scottsdale, AZ) had a 2H game this morning, both LDs where he showed quick hands that deliver the bat on a more direct path to the baseball. Declan also jumped on the mound and threw two shutout innings. Worked fast and pounded the zone with a low 70s fastball and produced a couple whiffs with his breaking ball.

Hunter Dewey (2029 OF, Clovis, CA) has been on barrel all weekend long and it continued in his first game of the day on Sunday with a double into the LC gap.

Maxton Baracy (2029 RHP, Santa Monica, CA) turned on a fastball hard for a LD through the second baseman and into the RC gap. Flatter stroke that is conducive to pullside liners.

Christopher Galaz (2029 C, Las Cruces, NM) pulled a hard LD into left for a single. Relaxed presence in the box and works smooth/easy to launch where the barrel works level through.

Kayden Grandil (2029 OF, Chandler, AZ) flied one deep into left for a standup double. Simple swing operation where the foot gets down early with plenty of time to recognize and where the barrel turns on a clean/uphill path to the baseball.

Kal-El Ramirez (2029 C, Avondale, AZ) had a quality LD single into left. Caught it a bit out front but still got enough barrel to get it past the SS for a hit.

Kortland Sinclair (2029 3B, Price, UT) had one of the more impressive swings of the morning with his opposite field double into the LC gap. Physical presence in the box. Stays behind the baseball well with a path that has some depth allowing him to find barrel when catching it deep.

3-Gold vs. 5-Green Game Highlights

1/4/2025

Mason Talboy (2029 C, Queen Creek, AZ) added his second hit of the day with a LD back through the middle of the field. Continues to show a short/balanced LH swing that still maintains length through the baseball.

Jack McCormick (2029 RHP, Mohave Valley, AZ) found himself an opposite field double. Keeps it simple with his lower half which allows him to stay behind it while just letting his hands play. Barrel works on a flatter path through.

Caleb Smith (2029 SS, Chandler, AZ) found another loud XBH through the middle of the field for a double. Showing consistent timing and strong feel for the barrel.

Jamie Justice (2029 OF, Las Vegas, NV) was a strong two-way performer this game. Lined one back up the middle and over the CF's head for a double showing a direct barrel path with some quality bat/hand speed. Also jumped on the mound and threw a quick shutout inning where he filled it up with a low 70s FB from the left side.

Noah Tameron (2028 OF, Mesa, AZ) had the loudest barrel of the game with a triple that one hopped the LF wall. Smaller frame but sneaky impact. Gets the barrel on-plane early and works flat into contact.

Mason Talboy (2029 C, Queen Creek, AZ) had a quality opposite field single into left. Did a good job keeping his hands in tight and finding enough barrel to line it the other way.

Cohen Fuller (2029 OF, Las Vegas, NV) stood out on the defensive side of the ball with an outfield assist. Got behind a flyball in right, came through it and showed off his arm with an accurate on-fly throw to third to get the runner.

Hunter Dewey (2029 OF, Clovis, CA) found his second double of the day with a shot into the LC gap. Quality impact that plays in-game within a middle of the field approach.

Jeremy Kirk (2029 RHP, Henderson, NV) went three strong shutout innings where he struck out two. Worked fast and pounded the strike zone at a 68% rate. Showed a mid 60s FB and a developing upper 50s breaker.

Caleb Smith (2029 SS, Chandler, AZ) found the loudest barrel of the game with a hard shot over the CF's head. Showed off a smooth LH stroke that works in rhythm and on a clean/on-plane path through the hitting zone.
