2020 Top Prospects

Chase Stewart  OF - 2020 - Richland, WA

Stewart topped the event with his strong arm in the outfield topping out at 87 MPH. He stays behind the ball well with a clean close. He also does a nice job of working through the ball and maintaining online momentum towards the target. His arm strength also plays well defensively as a secondary infield option.

Nate Wenzel  1B - 2020 - Mercer Island, WA

Wenzel was one of the top first baseman at the event with a 6-foot-5 frame and fluid glove actions out front. He works with clean footwork around the bag and generates accurate carry across the diamond topping out at 83 MPH. At the plate he works to the middle of the field and pull side with consistent line drive contact.

Mitchel Matson  RHP - 2020 - Colbert, WA

Matson, a primary righthanded pitcher looked good in several innings of work on the mound. Everything works to the plate well staying online with mechanics. He mixes pitches well working off the fastball at 83 MPH with a short slider and sharp break showing some two-plane depth.


2021 Top Prospects

Tanner Vaughn  RHP - 2021 - Arkansas City, KS

Vaughn came into the event as a top 500 player in the 2021 class and did nothing but impress over the weekend. His best position came from working on the mound where he works through a quick release and generates strong arm speed to create a heavy fastball at 87 MPH. He hides the ball well and goes right after hitters with an aggressive mentality on the bump.

Jaxon Henderson  3B - 2021 - Snohomish, WA

The Snohomish, Was. native had a lot to like during the batting practice portion of the event starting with a wide stance and getting to extension well. He swings the bat with intent looking to damage to the gaps with rotational actions. This allows him to produce loud contact when barreling the ball while staying consistent with mechanics.

Malcolm Williams  SS - 2021 - Lake Oswego, OR
Santa Clara

Williams in a 6-foot-1 shortstop with a strong athletic ability. He moves well with a 7.03 second 60-yard dash. This allows him to show off his range on the defensive side of the ball paired with a quick trigger and carry to the bag at 81 MPH.

Spencer Kaczmarski  OF - 2021 - Tukwila, WA

An athletic build, Kaczmarski moves well through the ball in the outfield fielding off the side and directly into transitions. He utilizes a quick crow hop transfer and gets on top of the ball well topping out at 81 MPH. At the plate he shows bat speed through a line drive barrel plane staying compact to the ball.

Colby Small  OF - 2021 - Port Orchard, WA

The Port Orchard, Was. native was impressive in several aspect of the game over the weekend. He started the showcase on a strong note with a 6.85 second 60-yard dash. He works through the ball well with smooth paced actions on the infield and gets the ball out well from the outfield. On the mound he employs a fluid and very repeatable delivery while generating solid arm speed into his release.

Lucas Wear was really able to show off his athletic ability early in the weekend with a 6.92 second 60-yard dash. He then took reps behind the plate where he showed quick and compact actions while showing off solid arm strength at 81 MPH and popping a 1.87.


2022 Top Prospects

Jake Dodge  1B - 2022 - Tigard, OR
UC Santa Barbara

Dodge is a solid 6-foot-5 frame with present strength throughout and the Beaverton, Ore. utilizes it well in his swing at the plate. He generates barrel speed through a leveraged swing looking to get the ball elevated. His power potential shined in batting practice and translated well to games where he hit a long homerun deep to the pull side.


Free Agents Top Prospects

Sora Hiruma  C - Free Agents - Chiyoda-Ku, TK JPN

The Tokyo native came to Auburn, Was. to show off a solid set of skills behind the plate and he didn't disappoint. Hiruma has solid hands receiving out in front and into exchanges staying compact with his hand path. He gets the ball out and on a line topping out at 75 MPH and popping a 1.93 defensively.

Keisuke Ohta  C - Free Agents - Chiyodaku, TK JPN

Ohta is another Tokyo native who looked good behind the dish. He's quick with the ball and gains solid ground out with an athletic lower half working to the bag. His throws remain accurate down to second with solid carry at 75 MPH and popping a 1.95.

Kaito Suzuki  OF - Free Agents - Chiyodaku, TK JPN

Suzuki, yet another Tokyo native, shows a fluid arm stroke in the outfield staying fundamentally sound through exchanges. He works on top of the ball well from a compact three-quarters release. His exchanges are clean and quick from an out in front funnel.
