Samuel Arrendell (2027 LHP, Richmond, TX) showed solid bat speed and intent for age. Gets on plane and the hands work a good. Athletic stroke with more in the frame.

Blake Erwin (2027 1B, Beaumont, TX) strung together loud barrels. Big pull-side contact, strength in the hands and turns awfully well. Physical frame with impact off it.

Cooper Thomas (2028 SS, Monroe, LA) good round for age sprayed it to all fields and showed good handle for it. Quick hands and solid handle for the barrel overall.

Jackson Wooten (2027 SS, Atascocita, TX) consistent round spraying all fields with some hand speed and intent. Developing impact off but comes off well and showed some real feel.

Aiden Ojo (2027 RHP, Lake Jackson, TX) big strength for age, working pull-side gap with relative ease. Good strength to path and the physicality shows in the box.

Jirius Khoury (2027 SS, Houston, TX) looser hands with good bat speed. Quick, short and direct path working best up the middle. Found a few sprays to the pull side too.

Lucas Taylor (2028 C, Leander, TX) good size for age and uses it well. Incorporates both halves and gets into his legs. Swings with plenty of intent and the strength off the barrel shows.

Drew Cross (2027 C, Mount Pleasant, TX) athletic, functional stroke. Stays inside and extends, real fundamental swing and the parts work. Bat speed is present and should only develop.

Hudson Cuevas (2027 2B, Cedar Park, TX) quick hands stood out and the overall barrel control was impressive. Strung it together both gaps and cleaner path for age.

Brock Havens (2027 1B, Friendswood, TX) good strength throughout round. Sinks into lower half and extends well. Good amounts of pop in the bat that should only mature and develop.

Dominic Naylor (2027 SS, Cedar Park, TX) simply loud round to both gaps. Uncoils with bat speed and immense strength. Physical tools stand out and the hit/power projection is real.

Casen Reedy (2027 RHP, Nederland, TX) athletic stroke and parts work. Very clean process with a good set of hands. Looseness and bat speed stood out.

Colton Walker (2027 OF, Friendswood, TX) really good round stringing it together to the pull side. Gets extended very well. Good impact off it and played off it.

Jayke Pineda (2029 SS, Corpus Christi, TX) innate feel for the age. On time and on the barrel a ton. Short, simple process. Makings of some good bat speed and impact.

Hayden Gateley (2027 OF, Lindale, TX) solid strength in the path and a good handle for the barrel. Solid contact the other way and peppered the opposite field gap very well.

Bowman Stein (2026 OF, Little Rock, AR) big juice from the left side. Power plays to pull and really works the barrel. Turns it over with intent and there's some whip in the finish.

Cade Morris (2027 OF, Iowa Colony, TX) good set of hands in his round; gets extended and works it to all fields. Best contact was to pull side but there's some quickness that can develop.

Navy V. Red Game Highlights

5/31/2023

Drew Cross (2027 C, Mount Pleasant, TX) showed out on both sides. Roped a double to the left-center gap and performed on the hill. Topped low-80s with good intent to the slider. Uber athletic two-way with potential.

Dante Mitchell (2027 SS, Pattison, TX) found a solid barrel the other way for a knock. Good lift and extension out front. Quality defensive showing on the dirt or grass. Versatile defender.

Wyatt Fulfer (2027 OF, Colwich, KS) big time showing in relief. Three pitches for strikes from the left side, really good cambio on the changeup and late tail to the slider. Athletic and chance to be pretty solid.

Colton Walker (2027 OF, Friendswood, TX) another good showing with the stick. Stayed on one and drove it the other way. Clean path and good extension. Parts work. Has been on the barrel a good amount over two days.

Red V. Green Game Highlights

5/31/2023

Lucas Strawn (2028 RHP, Humble, TX) feel for three pitches and really looked poised against some big bats in the order. Missed bats with a mid/high-70s fastball, broke off real good curveball and changeup mix too.

Elijah Gassett (2027 OF, Houston, TX) good two way potential and working up to 78 from the left side. Loose stroke, found a knock to shallow left field. Tons of length to work with and some feel to spin, athletic and checks boxes as he matures.

Jirius Khoury (2027 SS, Houston, TX) athletic two-way who showed up on the hill. Topped 79 mph with arm-side life and late biting slider. Good actions on the dirt and real feel for the leather. Tons to like.

11-Red vs. 9-Green Game Highlights

5/30/2023

RHP Jacob Anderson ('27, Frisco, TX) was on the mound and pitched two innings for Team Green. He topped out at 77 mph with an off-speed pitch in the upper 60s. He struck out 3 while allowing 2 hits.

Colton Walker ('27, Friendswood, TX) RHP topped at 75 mph with the FB and 64 mph with the breaking ball. He struck out 1 over 2 innings of work.

Thomas Eugate ('27, Fulshear, TX) was up to 80 mph with his FB during his 1 inning of work for Team Red. He also flashed a tighter breaking SL that was up to 71 mph. Over good projection for Eugate.

Dominic Naylor ('27, Cedar Park, TX) collect a big time double for Team Red. Good/Projectable frame that should add more as he matures. Speed and power with the bat.

Preston Gorski ('27, Bellaire, TX) is another member of Team Red that showed some pop and gathered a double in game 2 action. Slight leverage at contact.

7- Col Blue vs 8- Gold Game Highlights

5/30/2023

Hovan Colunga (2028 SS, Deer Park, TX) had a solid day at the plate picking up multiple hits as he carried over the strong bat to ball skill he showed during batting practice to the game. He was able to use the whole field with a single to the opposite field and pull side.

Roberto Moreno (2027 OF, Katy, TX) picked up a single on a fastball to right field. He was able to see the ball deep and got the barrel to it for a single doing a nice job controlling the barrel at the top of the zone with some strength in the hands.

Xavier Garcia (2027 OF, The Woodlands, TX) got his game started with nice inside out swing to drive a ball the other way for a single. His day at the plate ended with a long double to the pull side burning the outfielder and one hopping the right field wall. the very simple approach taking what he is given and using the whole field makes him a complete hitter. He also added nice sliding catch in center field make a good break on the ball.

Jackson Wooten (2027 SS, Atascocita, TX) really impressed with what he was able to do with the glove. His actions on the routine play are very clean allowing him to record outs and pick up his pitchers at a high rate. On top of that he showed out with his athleticism taking over as he made multiple spectacular plays going to his right at third base and making strong throws.

Cameron Burrell Jr (2027 OF, Navasota, TX) was on time when he drove a line drive to left on a fastball, the bat head out early and drove the ball pull side. His bat speed and barrel feel have solid projection long term with added strength to come down the line.

Cameron Burrell Jr (2027 OF, Navasota, TX) hit the ball hard twice to the middle of the field. The length in his frame projects well and with added strength and his feel for the barrel he has a chance to become a solid threat on the offensive side of the ball. The swing path gets on plane early with contact out front, using the big part of the field.

Ethan Johnson (2028 SS, Spring, TX) was on the barrel twice in game action. His right-handed swing matches plane well allowing him to get to contact out front on the fastball and create hard contact from the middle of the field to the pull side. The combination of the swing and the approach project well with added strength.

Dylon Smith (2028 C, Spring, TX) showed some tools on both side of the ball with a hit at the plate and then added a caught stealing behind the dish late in the game. He presents a bigger frame with strength that plays a keep role throughout his game.

Brody Box (2027 SS, Lubbock, TX) doubled down the left field line to end his first day of the showcase. He was on time for the heater and showed some bat speed while doing a nice job keeping his hands inside the ball to tuck it down the left field line for extra bases.

12-Royal vs. 13-White Game Highlights

5/30/2023

12-Royal

Alex Curran (2026 RHP, Stratford, PE) was dominant in his outing going 3 strong shutout innings while allowing no hits on 3ks. He has a smooth delivery off the bump and works in line. Had a really nice tempo and pounded the zone. He sat 77-80 with his fastball and forced late swings on weak contact. He mixed in a curve every now and then and could bury it in the zone at times. There is plenty to project on here.

13-White

Brayden Grote (2027 SS, Katy, TX) has been all over the infield making good reads and good plays. Moves well to his left and right with a quick first step. Has the arm to make accurate throws on time.

Logan Sawicki (2026 C, Temple, TX) found the barrel late in the game driving the ball back up the middle for a hard-hit single.
