Game Highlights: 1-Black vs. 3-Orange
Matthew Logan (2026, Windermere, Fla.) worked from a high-three-quarters arm slot, showcasing a three-pitch mix that gave the opposition fits. The southpaw had a fastball that was up to 78-81 mph with spin up above 2,230 RPMs. The breaking ball had more lateral break to it. But his best off-speed was his changeup in the low-70s, with great depth to it. Was able to miss barrels with a mostly fastball attack and cruise through 3 innings, punching out 8 opposing hitters. Logan got the hands through the zone and lined one into left field for a base knock in his second game of the day.
Harrison Kalina (2026, Bonita Springs, Fla.) worked from a short & quick arm action and attacked hitters with a three-pitch mix. The fastball was up to 77 mph with some spin to it. Showed a curveball with 12-6 shape and a changeup as well with fade. Mixed speeds well and was efficient in his outing.
Game Highlights: 2-Columbia Blue vs. 1-Black
Jackson Mann (2027, Clewiston, Fla.) worked up to 79 mph on the fastball from the left side. He flashed a changeup often that worked well. The heavy fastball barrage got the job done and allowed him to navigate through his outing super efficiently. Picked up a solid base knock in the later game against 3-Orange, getting the hands to a fastball and shooting it the opposite way into left field.
Gavin Miller (2027, Aston, Penn.) was able to get the barrel out front to a pitch and drive it the other way. The right-handed hitter got extended and drove it pull-side for a single. Getting a rally started with the hard-hit liner into left field.
Michael Salvi (2027, Naples, Fla.) was able to stay short to the ball and drive one pull-side. He jumped on the first pitch and drove it into left field on a line for a base hit. Was able to get on plane and connect for the pull-side barrel.
Mathews Sosa (2026, Cape Coral, Fla.) got the hands to the ball out front, showing off the hand speed. He was able to connect with one and lift it to deep left field. Picked up an RBI on the barrel as well. Sosa was able to stay on time for a fastball, getting on time and driving it to deep center. He burned the outfielder, seeing the ball down, hustling out a double for the extra-base hit.
Beckett Colbert (2027, Naples, Fla.) gets the first hit for his club, taking one the other way. He was able to get it done, ripping one the other way into right field. Picked up an opposite-field single to get his team in the hit column.
Game Highlights: 3-Orange vs. 2-Columbia Blue
Gabriel Granadillo (2027, Hialeah, Fla.) was able to get things going early in this game, driving one into the left-center gap. He got the barrel extended out front and was able to drive it pull-side and pick up the easy base hit. Barreled up another ball to left field in his next at-bat.
Braylon Sheffield (2027, Fort Myers, Fla.) did a good job getting the barrel to one and driving it into left field. Swung it well for 3-Orange on the day, and also was solid in BP. Plenty to like from the right-handed hitter who has a great feel for the barrel. Also pieced together a solid outing on the mound. Fastball/curveball mix, working out of the stretch.
Juan Tabio (2028, Davie, Fla.) was able to turn on a pitch and drive it pull-side. He was direct to the ball with strength off the barrel, to drive it hard into right field for a base knock. The left-handed hitter has a bigger frame with some strength at impact.
Evan Juan (2027, Tampa, Fla.) was able to get the barrel on an elevated fastball; he was working uphill to it and drove it hard into left field. The line-drive shot was an easy single as he worked the at-bat and ended up on first base.
Hunter McGlaun (2027, Phenix City, Ala.) picked up an RBI for 3-Orange after he was able to get on time for a fastball and pump it into right center. Was patient in his approach and able to drive one hard on a line, scoring the run.
