Henry McDaniels (2024 C, Brentwood, MO) showed off his power upside connecting on a low pitch and driving it to the LCF gap for a loud extra base hit. McDaniels wasn’t done at the plate adding another single on a solid hit through the left side of the infield. He impressed with his two-way upside getting his fastball up to 81 and mixing in a good change-up that disrupts hitters timing at the plate.

Henry Vedder (2026 RHP, New Haven, MO) showed off his two-way potential during the game collecting a base knock that he fought off to the opposite field. On the mound he showed off his fastball that was 79-81 and touched 82 during his appearance. Vedder also mixed in a good slider that he was able to spin up to 2188 RPM.

Aidan Capone (2023 OF, Rockford, IL) showed off his arm strength from both the outfield and on the mound during his one inning appearance. Capone was able to get up to 94 from the outfield and off the mound he showed off a fastball that was up to 87. He also mixed in a quality change-up with depth that was able to keep hitters off-balance with his fastball that he elevated well.

Samuel Wyrick (2024 SS, Jefferson City, MO) showed off his two-way upside with a dominant inning on the mound, keeping his fastball around 85-88 and touching 89. He also showed off a starting pitcher mix with an 11-5 shaped curveball with late biting action. He also flashed a change-up with late dropping action.

Jackson Stettnisch (2024 OF, Grain Valley, MO) showed off his raw arm strength from both the outfield and on the mound recording a top outfield velocity of 95 and running it up to 88 on the mound. He also showed a good slider that was around 2184 RPM and 70 with vertical tilt and late biting action.

Anthony Eberlin (2026 RHP, Edwardsville, IL) impressed in his two innings showing off a solid four pitch mix at his age. He showed off the looseness of his arm running the fastball up to 88 while mixing in a slider that showed developing swing and miss potential as he continues to grow. He also featured an 11-5 shaped curveball that had a different movement profile from the slider. He also showed a good change-up that he could use to lock up hitters.

Gavin Kleist (2025 3B, Peoria, IL) showed off the power upside in his large 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame crushing an extra base hit into the right-center field alley. Kleist impressed with his ability to get the barrel on the ball and his developing ability to get lift. Kleist projects well on the corners with a frame that will continue to develop.

John McAuliffe (2025 C, Orland Park, IL) used his physical 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame to impact baseballs including connecting on an extra base hit to the left-center field gap. McAuliffe also showed off good two-way potential during an appearance on the mound where he showed off a fastball that was 80-82 and featured a slider that was low- 70s and being spun at 2005 RPM.

Caynen Patterson (2025 C, Troy, MO) has a strong and athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame with good strength at present. Patterson showed off his feel for the barrel crushing two baseballs in game, one for extra bases and a hard line drive right at the third baseman. Patterson impressed all day showing off his strong arm at present behind the plate and from the infield, as well as his upside in the box.

Jace Watson (2026 C, Newburgh, IN) showed off his power potential to the pull side lacing an extra base hit into the right-center field alley. Watson shows good strength at present in his 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. He also shows a developing feel for generating lift naturally on his swings.

Powell used his 83-86 fastball to get ahead early in counts and attack hitters. He also featured a slurvy type breaking ball with a shorter run but tightly spun registering 2235 RPM. He flashed a developing change-up that he could already get in for strikes.

Sylvester Tournier (2025 3B, Chesterfield, MO) showed off his upside on the mound running his fastball up to 87 and collecting two strikeouts in his one inning appearance. He has an athletic 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame on the mound and shows good arm speed in his delivery. Jaymeson Forest (2026 3B, St. Louis, MO) showed off his two-way potential collecting a hit in the batter’s box and recording four strikeouts during his two innings on the mound. Forest used his fastball that was up to 80 and a slider that showed some swing and miss traits. He also mixed in a change-up that he was able to locate in the zone. Forest is a player to keep an eye on with his 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame that can still grow.

2023 National Indoor (Saturday) Batting Practice Highlights

2/18/2023

Chase Farmer (2026, Somerset, Ky.) pieced together a good round of BP with plenty of hard-hit contact. A pretty fluid operation overall, with quick hands and some barrel control. Peppered the back of the cage in the air during his round of BP.

Ryan Kliethermes (2025, St. Peters, Mo.) worked from a wider base with quick hands through the zone. Was able to drive the ball in the air and produce hard-line drives throughout his round of BP swings. Several well-struck balls in the air during the round.

John McAuliffe (2025, Orland Park, Ill.) rotated through contact, getting the barrel out front to work pull-side with authority. Had some strength off the barrel and was able to get the ball in the air during his round of BP.

Julian Jarrett (2023, Brownsville, Tenn.) worked from an upright stance and was able to work to the middle of the field. Had some good thump off the barrel. Had some great contact to the middle of the field, producing good swings in the air to the back of the cage during his round of BP.

Caynen Patterson (2025, Troy, Mo.) had plenty of bat speed on display during his round of BP. Uncoiled well through contact with plenty of well-struck balls to the back of the cage in the air. Worked pull-side with his best contact and hardest-hit balls.

Max Guenther (2024, Weldon Spring. Mo.) gets his hands deep in his load, coiling to uncoil and drive through the zone with intent. Had a couple of good barrels pull-side and balls that would have landed in the pull-side gap during his round of BP swings. Good job getting the hands deep and driving it hard off the barrel.

Jackson Stettnisch (2024, Grain Valley, Mo.) closed up slightly as he loads up and then rotates hard through contact. Had some solid bat speed, getting on plane and driving it. Had hard turns through the zone with plenty of hard-hit balls to the back of the cage during his round of BP.

Samuel Wyrick (2024, Jefferson City, Mo.) worked from a wider base, coiling up slightly as he loads before driving hard through the zone. Had some jump off the barrel with good contact to the middle of the field during his round of BP swings.

Brady Booth (2025, Tremont, Ill.) used a hanging leg lift trigger to get on time. Settled into his round of swings well and was able to leverage the ball working uphill and produce solid contact during his round of BP.

Jacob Greer (2025, Lake Saint Louis, Mo.) had a ton of bat speed on display during his round of BP swings. Gets through the zone with intent and strength to produce some thump off the barrel. Leveraged the ball well and was able to barrel up a ton of hard contact during his round of BP.
