Jace Watson is a 2026 C/OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Newburgh, IN who attends Castle. Recorded a 7.49 second sixty yard dash time. Athletic frame with a medium build. Primary catcher works from slight side straddle. Gains ground aggressively through it with good strength. Fast and accurate to second base. Recorded a 1.94 second pop time during drills. Secondary outfielder, charges it with quick feet and aggression to it, fields out in front with a clean gather. Attacks it with purpose. In-line arm action with accurate throws with carry. The left-handed hitter starts with a upright stance with slightly bent knees and high hands with a high back elbow, utilizes a inward leg lift trigger. Able to get extended and get to the ball out in front. Good feel for the barrel to impact it with the best contact coming to the pull-side but worked back up the middle as well. Shorter and direct path. Short to the ball and long through it. Consistent contact to all fields. Some strength at impact and creates leverage out in front and can backspin baseballs for distance to the pull-side. Exciting player with a high ceiling. Good student.
