8/21/2022

Mikey Watson (2027 3B, Steger, IL) found a loud barrel early in the game. Smoked a line drive over the shortstops head that scooted all the way to the gap for a triple. Violent stroke with intent to do damage. He also singled to the pull-side in a later at-bat.

Henry Alden (2027 1B, Chicago, IL) continues to swing a hot bat. Singled up the middle to add another hit to his name. Solid hands with feel in the box.

Cameron Delahoussaye (2027 RHP, Naperville, IL) ripped a triple over the rightfielders head. Some thump in the swing from the big right-handed hitter on full display during the action.

Carson Hamblin (2027 SS, Lake Zurich, IL) proved to have some feel for the stick in the box. Barreled one up to the pull-side for a base hit. Quick hands with good barrel control.

Zane Schneider (2027 3B, Lemont, IL) squared it up and drove one for a single during the action. Saw spin early and smoked a breaking ball up the middle.

Sam Christos (2027 C, Glenview, IL) singled up the middle while knocking in a run. Also was aggressive on paths taking an extra bag on over throws.

1-Green vs 2-White Game Highlights

8/20/2022

Christian Lott (2026 3B, Chicago, IL) found some really loud barrels in game. Singled up the middle and later went on to triple to the pull-side. Thump in the hands present.

Bron Schaefer (2026 LHP, Kaukauna, WI) mixed it up on the mound and made it look easy. Easy mid-70's fastball and feel to spin a sharp breaking ball. Six punchouts on one hit in three innings pitched.

Henry Alden (2027 1B, Chicago, IL) fired the hips and hands generating easy bat speed. Got the bat head out front and smoked one to rightfield during the action.

James Wasson (2027 RHP, Hinsdale, IL) carved hitters up in a solid three inning outing. Fastball up to 76 mph with life out of hand. Also proved he could drop in a breaking ball in the mid-50's. Struck out six and didn't give up a hit while doing so.

Batting Practice Highlights

8/20/2022

Alex Govoni (2028 3B, Wilmette, IL) showed good hitting traits at a young age, including a swing that works efficiently and with the barrel on plane, with easily projectable bat speed.

Zane Schneider (2027 3B, Lemont, IL) has good size and present bat speed and does a good job of getting his lower half involved, showing good impact off the barrel already.

Henry Alden (2027 1B, Chicago, IL) showed some of the better power of this age group, showing serious juice to the pull-side as a lefthanded hitter when he was on time.

Christian Lott (2026 3B, Chicago, IL) has advanced physicality and that strength shows up in his swing, showing real carry to the pull-side and projection for huge power long term.

Matthew Saliers (2027 RHP, Chicago, IL) has good size and present strength to him along with a quick stroke that gets the barrel out, showing lower-launch hard liners back through the middle and pull-side.
