Kade Baron (2022 RHP, Missouri City, Texas) filled up the zone well mixing an advanced changeup in his rotation and that slider has tight horizontal action. His fastball was a tough pitch to barrel clean with good life, he sat around 85-87 range. The delivery is clean with feel to adjust pitch to pitch, low 3/4 slot worked the inside half against right-handers well.
Micah Dean (2023 OF, Waller, Texas) struck a well-connected base hit to open it up, he is a spark plug type of athlete with solid quick movements and athleticism across his tools. The swing is compact with balance and has a good feel for the zone. Versatile on defense with a lot of glove skill and field awareness.
Zach Erdman (2022 LHP, Keller, Texas) has pieces to expect to carry smoothly at the next level. Natural life from the left-side runs it away late with a firm 84-86 fastball flashing some sink action. The secondary has plenty of upside, changeup has fade with a clean release that dodged barrels and a sharp slider that played very well as his outing progressed.
Jalen Seward (2022 3B, Chandler, New Mexico) is a physical corner infield profile with high raw strength can swing it well with projectable power, he had an impressive BP showing easy pop that transferred to the game. 6-5/210 build also flashed good lateral movement in the field and the arm strength to compliment. Plays with hustle and feel for the game.
Caden Ferraro (2023 LHP, Pearland, Texas) showed off quality command across his pitch rotation and does not leave much over the middle with late run on the fastball up to 84. The breaking ball is a tough 1/7 shape with bite at 72, very confident mix that was working his whole outing with feel to land in the zone or generate a swing miss for the put away.
Matthew Houston (2022 C, Longview, Texas) is a strong build with a good bat, the contact tool plays with present strength and plenty of power to unlock in his future. He roped a double that jumped off the barrel. Behind the plate he shows sounds action and receiving skills, the physicality has upside, and the hitting will carry.
Xander McAfee (2022 OF, Mansfield, Texas) has some athletic upside to be familiar with, after a loud round of BP he showed off his impact on the bases legging out a double with a stolen bag. He has easy strength that projects very well and consistently creates leverage with balance and a quick barrel through the zone. He fits the part in the outfield flashing the glove skill to both sides and solid mobility.
Cohl McCoy (2024 2B, Fort Worth, Texas) is a toolsy player with a high motor. Two hit day at the plate including a double that had good carry in the right-center gap. He stood out in the infield workout and the smooth actions transfer to the game well with an excellent run and contact tools to keep tabs on.
Kyle Suarez (2022 OF, Brownfield, Texas) muscled a base hit late in game one. 6-2/185 build that moves very well in the outfield with clean mechanics and another standout in batting practice with a lot of impact potential ahead of him. He runs into contact with force and an easy loft stroke, the athleticism plays with plenty of upside to like at the next level.
