Maroon, Navy and Purple Sunday Game Highlights

Mark Dugan (2022 C, Crescent Springs, KY) The 2022 grad showed good strength in his swing with the ability to drive the ball to the gaps with ease. Produced tight back spin off the barrel when squared. Doubled to deep left field in game action.

Jake Orr (2021 2B, Washington, PA) Utilized a compact, direct path to contact with a linear barrel plane. Consistently created sharp contact collecting two hits in game action.

Jared Teke (2022 C, Batavia, OH) Was very impressive on the mound featuring a fastball that produced good life through the zone up to 85 mph. Also showed good feel for each of his off speed pitches and consistently kept hitters off balance. 

Landon Freeman (2023 LHP, Cincinnati, OH) Showed a mature approach at the plate with the ability to control the barrel throughout the zone. Consistently barreled the baseball picking up two base hits in game action.

Braden Danner (2021 C, Yorktown, IN) The 2021 grad showed a smooth, slightly leveraged barrel plane that created good backspin off the barrel when squared. Doubled loudly to the right field in game action.

Alex Martin (2024 3B, Rush, KY) Martin displayed present bat speed with the ability to throw barrel head to contact with intent. Consistently proved to be a tough out while producing loud contact. Collected multiple hits in game action including a double to the left center field gap in his first at-bat of the day.

Jake Messman (2021 RHP, Manchester, MI) Showed a clean, line drive barrel plane through extension. Utilized a mid field to pull side approach looking to throw the barrel head to contact. Picked up two base hits in game action.

Tanner Thomas (2025 RHP, Arcola, IL) Showed good poise on the mound with the ability to locate fastball to each edge of the plate. Created good downhill tilt with his fastball in the upper 70's and induced weaker contact through each inning of work.

Landan Browning (2024 RHP, Barberton, OH) Another young arm that was impressive on the mound. Browning flashed good life with his fastball through the zone with occasional run, topped at 80 mph. Also showed good feel for his breaking pitch that generated occasional hard bite to the bottom of the zone.

Sam Duvall (2022 SS, Lebanon, OH) Impressed on the mound showing good arm speed from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Fastball showed some jump through the zone with running action to arm side in the low 80's. Slider generated good sweep to glove side with solid tilt.

TJ Hammons (2022 C, Cincinnati, OH) Showed a loose, fluid swing plane with some leveraged through extension.  Looked to drive the baseball while using a mid field approach. Doubled to the right center field gap in his last at-bat of the day.

Robert Virgies (2022 1B, Taylor, MI) Created good barrel whip through the zone with present bat speed. Consistently generated loud, hard contact collecting to sharp singles.

Ethan Krueger (2022 3B, Wauwatosa, WI) Showed a clean, naturally leveraged barrel plane with solid strength at contact. Doubled deeply to straight away center field in his last at-bat of the day.


Gold vs Green Sunday Game Highlights

Cole Ballard (2023 3B, Westfield, IN) Ballard displayed a simple, repeatable line drive barrel plane with present bat speed. Consistently created sharp contact showing the ability to work to all fields. Collected two hits in game action.

Jack Robinson (2022 OF, Camby, IN) Generated good barrel whip through the zone with the ability to created hard contact out front. Doubled down the line in his first at-bat of the day.

Michael Napolitano (2022 C, Terrace Park, OH) Consistently attack the zone with a fastball that created good running action to arm side in the low 80's, topped at 82 mph. Also showed the ability to located breaking ball for strikes in both positive and negative counts. The 2022 grad worked two scoreless innings striking out four batters.

Christian Knight (2023 C, Concord Township, OH) The 2023 grad employed a balance swing at the plate with a mid field approach. Stays  on the baseball well and drove to singles to the middle of the field in game action. Also impressed on the mound locating fastball to each edge of the plate consistently, topped at 82 mph. Kept hitters off balance with his breaking ball offering that featured good depth in the low 70's.

Vitaly Diblasi (2023 3B, Powell, OH) Was solid on the mound working two no hit innings while striking out two batters. The 2023 grad effective worked ahead in the count with his fastball and changed speeds with both a curveball and slider. Consistently induced weak contact and produced quick innings.

Mac Ciocco (2021 1B, Venetia, PA) The 2021 grad displayed very good bat speed at the plate with plus power. Consistently looked to attack the baseball with intent and drive the ball to all fields. Picked up two hits in game action including a double to deep right center field in his first at-bat.

Derek Genao (2022 OF, Indianapolis, IN) Showed a knack for finding the barrel while employing a simple, balance approach. Stays behind the baseball well at contact and collected two base hits in game action.

Gunner Aldridge (2021 2B, Lake Orion, MI) The Michigan native showed very good bat speed at the plate with a naturally leveraged barrel plane. Threw barrel head well to the baseball. Connected for a home run to deep right field in his second at-bat of the game.

Christopher Coleman (2021 OF, Flint, MI) The 2021 created utilized a short, compact stroke to the baseball with a line drive approach. Flashed good jump off the barrel doubling to left center field in his last at-bat of the game.


Batting Practice Highlights

8/1/2020

Jack Trachet (2021 MIF, Pinckney, MI) generated some easy pop as he threw his hands at the baseball and found the barrel with consistency during his round. He proves to have some gap to gap pop and when he gets extended, he drives the baseball deep to the pull-side. 

Jakob Poturnak (2022 SS, Vancouver, BC) took one of the loudest batting practice rounds today as he found barrels with every cut. He shows a slightly uphill swing path and combines it with strong hands as he drives the baseball around the park. He squared up a couple of very deep fly balls to centerfield during the round as well. 

Mac Ciocco (2021 1B, Venetia, PA) flashed one of the more physical builds and he put it to good use as he punished baseballs. He went all out with every swing and proved to have some big time pull-side pop. He also proved he could drive the baseball on a line to the opposite field gap and he did so with consistency. 

Gunner Aldridge (2021 2B, Lake Orion, MI) showcased some next level bat speed as he whipped the barrel through the zone. The smooth swinging lefty proved to have some juice in the bat as he drove it to the warning track to the pull-side during his round. The hands are his biggest asset as he finds barrels and has a knack for driving it to all fields. 

Zachary Halligan (2023 3B, Uniontown, OH) did a great job of generating separation with his hands as he let the baseball travel before finding the barrel in each cut. He swung a heavy barrel through the zone as the baseball jumped off his bat. He proved to have some pop to the pull-side during his round. 

Alex Martin (2024 3B, Rush, KY) took a simple approach to the dish today as he started spread out and let his hands do the work. He proved he could drive the baseball around the park but really pounded the baseball into the right-center gap. The contact was very loud when he got the bat head out front and got his hands extended. 

Casey Judy (2021 OF, Franklin, OH) took one of the most consistent batting practices of the day as he found a barrel with every swing. He proved he could drive the baseball to all fields on a line. The gap to gap pop stood out the most during his round today. 

Sam Duvall (2022 SS, Lebanon, OH) had a great round today as he relied on the hands to deliver the barrel to the baseball. He had feel to all fields and even showed some pull-side pop when he got the bat head out front. The barrel whipped through the zone as he found the barrel with ease. 

Jake Orr (2021 2B, Washington, PA) did a nice job of keeping his hands behind the baseball as he drove it gap to gap with some feel for the barrel. He generated easy pop in the swing as he proved to have plenty of juice in the bat. When squared up, he created some very loud contact.

Jonathan Fitz (2023 C, Edgewood, KY) has big time pop in the bat as he utilized an uphill swing path and drove the baseball deep to the pull-side. He also proved to have some feel for the barrel as he let the baseball travel and drove it the other way when needed. 


Maroon, Navy and Purple Game Highlights

Luke Rolland (2021 RHP, Searcy, AR) Utilized a very deceptive low three-quarters arm slot that generated natural run and sink to arm side in the low to mid 80's, topped at 85 mph. Also flashed tight spin with a slider that created late sweep to glove side in the low 70's. Worked three scoreless inning striking out seven batters.

Leewood Molessa (2021 1B, Pullman, WV) Displayed good strength in his swing with a naturally leveraged barrel plane. Baseball created very tight backspin with carry to the gaps when squared. Doubled to deep left field in game action.

Connor Lindsey (2022 C, O'Fallon, IL) - Showed good balance at the plate with present strength in swing. Flashed the ability to turn the barrel with intent and produced loud, hard contact when squared. Picked up two hits in game action including a loud double deep to the left center field gap.

Casey Judy (2021 OF, Franklin, OH) Flashed good bat speed through the zone with solid carry off the barrel when squared. Utilized a gap to gap approach and drove a double to right center field in game action.

Cam Semelroth (2023 1B, Peoria, IL) Showed the ability to generate leverage in swing and stay behind the baseball well at contact. Doubled to left center field in game action.

Maxwell Molessa (2024 MIF, Pullman, WV) Displayed good bat head control through the zone with present bat speed. Doubled sharply to right center field in game action.

Joshua Gilmore (2021 OF, Bloomingburg, OH) Displayed a balanced approach at the plate with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Consistently created sharp contact picking up two base hits in game action.

Kevin West (2022 OF, Mason, OH) Showed good feel for the barrel with the ability to work to all fields. Tripled to right center field in game action. Also showed terrific range in the outfield making a diving catch down the right field line.


Gold vs Green Game Highlights

Connor Shimek (2021 OF, New Philadelphia, OH) The 2021 grad showed a loose, fluid swing path and consistently generated sharp contact off the barrel. Looks to throw barrel head with intent and drive the baseball aggressively to all fields

Tyler Huff (2023 C, Loveland, OH) Showed the ability to turn barrel head with intent and generated good bat speed through extension. Generated good strength in swing with lower half while employing a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Produced hard contact throughout the game with good carry to pull side.

Bryce Gonyer (2022 SS, Marion, TX) Displayed good balance at the plate with a knack for finding the barrel. The Texas native employed a simple, repeatable line drive barrel plane and collected two hits  in game action.

Wyatt Fisher (2021 RHP, Cincinnati, OH) Consistently located fastball to each edge of the plate and effectively worked ahead of hitters, topped at 85 mph. Also flashed tight, late sweep to glove side with a slider in the mid 70's. Fisher completed three innings and struck out six batters.

Drew Owen (2023 OF, Murfreesboro, TN) The 2023 grad impressed on the mound featuring a fastball that generated good life through the zone in the upper 70's. Worked to all parks of the zone effectively and flashed very good feel for a changeup offering that produced later fade in the upper 60's. The Tennessee native also worked three innings striking out six batters.
