Jackson Bass (2026 C, Keller, TX) got things started with a loud barrel to right-center for a base-hit. Took a fastball low in the zone and sent it the other way. Made a good adjustment controlling the barrel well with feel. Would come around later and find another barrel back up the middle for another base-hit.
Carson Drury (2026 RHP, Burleson, TX) went 3 shutout frames on 5 strikeouts. Fastball worked up to 80 with good life through zone. Slider mixed in with some bite as well. Mixed well and kept hitters off balance throughout his outing. Projects for more velo. Also ripped a ball back up the middle for a base-hit and it was pieced.
Logan Richards (2027 RHP, Flower Mound, TX) looked good throughout his outing working up to 86 with his fastball. Was mainly in the 82-86 range and showed good life. Could locate and was competitive in the zone. Went to a slider at 72-73 with some bite. Curve at 68-70 and varied in shape. Could drop both in at times. Definitely projects for more velocity.
Braylin Caston (2028 SS, Fort Worth, TX) ripped a ball back up the middle in game action for a base-hit. Nice leve swing path with some bat speed. Showed good bat to ball ability in BP and carried that over into game action.
Michael Logan (2028 C, Midlothian, TX) clobbered a triple in game action. Ball had good carry off the barrel. Good rhythm in the box with good overall feel for the barrel. Also hosed a runner from behind the dish in game action as well.
Maroon
Austin Barrera (2026 RHP, Copperas Cove, TX) worked through 3 shutout frames on 6 strikeouts. Fastball worked up to 81 and was located well for strikes. Showed a mid-60s curve with sharp break. Also mixed in a good-looking change at 70.
Ethan Keller (2026 RHP, San Antonio, TX) came in pumping straight gas and chewed through 2 dominant frames on 2ks. Fastball worked 89-93 mainly and played firm. Slider at 78 was short and tight with bite. Change 84-85 played firm with drop. Fastball gets in quick and forced a ton of late swings and misses.
Saxon Smith (2028 OF, Lucas, TX) absolutely turned on a ball to the RCF gap for a triple. Smooth lefty swing and always on the barrel. Works good at-bats all around.
Red
James Burchfield (2026 OF, Oak Point, TX) made a nice diving play on a sinking liner out in left. Showed good range and reads out there with instincts. Covers a good bit of ground. Found a barrel as well in game action.
Spencer Steves (2028 RHP, Castle Pines, CO) sent a booming double to the LCF gap in game action. Turns the barrel over well with big time strength at impact.
Finley Hambrick (2026 SS, McKinney, TX) fastball worked 82-87 with late biting ASR. Fastball crept in quick and forced late swings. Slider 76-79 with late sharp bite. Went to a nasty change at 77 with heavy fade. Good 3-pitch mix and projects well off the bump.
