Game Highlights - Royal
Hank Rasmussen (2029, Marion, Iowa) swung the bat well as he picked up a couple of barrels. He was able to work pull-side and back up the middle of the field, showing good strength off it with his in-game swings.
Eli Morio (2029, Solon, Iowa) was a hitting machine in-game, finding barrels often and doing damage nearly every time he stepped in the box. He was able to work back up the middle and pull-side, consistently finding barrels with plenty of bat speed and barrel accuracy to impact it well. Morio also worked 71-73 mph on the fastball during his outing on the mound, flipping a mid-60s breaking ball as well.
Mason Becker (2029, Chicago, Ill.) added a couple of hits in-game, finding ways to show off the barrel accuracy, staying on it, and driving one backside. He also turned on one, pulling it for another good swing later in the game. Becker also worked up to 69 mph on the fastball with a quality 3-pitch mix that fooled the opposition.
Andre Purpura (2029, Marion, Iowa) added an in-game hit after he produced a well-struck line drive working back up the middle. He delivered the barrel on time and got it done for a quality swing. He also worked up to 74 mph on the fastball during his outing on the mound while showing a curveball and changeup to round out the three-pitch mix.
Roan Malone (2029, Silvis, Ill.) added a barrel working back up the middle in-game, staying on it, and driving it with good bat speed. He also put together a good outing on the mound where he worked up to 75 mph on the fastball and was able to flip a curveball with a good bite to it as well.
