Ty Madden (Montvale, NJ) shot up the rankings after a big WWBA performance, finding himself at 74 nationally and fourth in New Jersey. Madden possesses table-setting tools, swiping 21 bags on the year while driving in 37, walking significantly more than he struck out. He works from an athletic medium frame with present strength in the lower half, swinging it from the left-side. Madden starts slightly wide and keeps the hands low, getting to a quick barrel via a high and pronounced leg load. The dynamic outfielder controls the barrel well, spraying line drives to all fields while flashing over-the-fence juice



Preston Pahang, RHP, Egg Harbor Township, NJ | Ocean City HS

Preston Pahang (Egg Harbor Township, NJ) jumped in the national rankings after a strong summer and fall circuit, totaling 43 strikeouts over 25 innings pitched. Pahang features present strength in a medium right-handed frame, displaying athleticism on the hill. He starts with a mid-body handset, working into a high and compact leg lift before flying down the mound via a long reach back arm action and higher three-quarters slot. Pahang has worked a lively heater up to 91, showcasing run/ride traits while missing bats at the top of the zone. The New Jersey native also displays advanced ability at the plate, while he figures to continue as a pitcher at the next level.
 

Brayden Moughan, 1B/RHP, Vineland, NJ | Gloucester Catholic

Brayden Moughan (Vineland, NJ) landed himself at 380 nationally after a strong performance at the High School All-State Games, including in game action where he collected three homers and a double. Moughan features length and present strength in a 6-foot-3 right-handed frame with athleticism, producing throws up to 84 across the infield. The South Jersey product produced exit velocities up to 94, starting wide at the base with high hands before firing through a quick and impactful barrel. Moughan also appeared on the mound, running the fastball up to 83 while flashing a tight slider.

Connor Crittenden, 3B, Philadelphia, PA | Springside Chestnut Hill Academy

Connor Crittenden (Philadelphia, PA) finds himself at 114 in the latest 2028 rankings refresh following a big year at the plate, slashing .368/.478/.538 with 13 doubles and 29 driven in. The Philadelphia native works from a lengthy and projectable 6-foot-4 frame with strength in the lower half. Crittenden starts wide at the base with higher hands, utilizing a simple and direct leg load before firing through a compact barrel. He has also appeared on the mound, working a heavy heater up to 88, mixing in a fading change-up.

Noa Das | RHP/IF | Boca Raton, FL

Nice bump to a T500 tag after a really solid ‘25 campaign, one in which saw Das toss 29 innings with just 18 hits allowed in that spin with 48 strikeouts to pair. It’s a good combination of stuff, projection and size that allowed for Das to impress at Sophomore Worlds back in October. He sits in the 84-87 band on the fastball, coming from a tick higher three-quarters slot that produces good life and carries atop the zone. He is in the development stages with his breaking arsenal, but as he adds functional strength and overall feel with his curveball that already has a good amount of depth, it will materialize into a solid usable offering. It’s a clean arm action and he shows good mobility throughout the delivery. It doesn’t take too much to buy into this overall operation long term.
 

Myles Auxt | SS/2B | Baton Rouge, FL

From completely unranked coming into Sophomore Worlds to now sitting at #336 in the country, Auxt came down with Canes Southwest and showed off a bevy of things to like within his current profile. The skinny is this - Auxt is a solid athlete with a switch hit tool and can hold his own up the middle on the dirt long-term. That entire combination of factors will grab anybody’s attention, especially as a ‘28 graduate that hit .395 over 38 AB’s in Perfect Game events this year. The switch hit ability is not just a gimmick, as he possesses legitimate feel to swing it from both sides. You can envision a path where he swings it well from both sides past high school and into his collegiate career, as both swings feature bat to ball and there is not an overly discernable difference in the swings. Really healthy jump for Auxt, who now sits as the 6th player in Louisiana.
 

Kam Gillespie | SS/OF | Kansas City, MO

An outstanding performance in Jupiter that saw him playing way up launched Gillespie up the board in this ‘28 class, as he now sits in at the 29th spot in the nation after the new refresh. Loose, athletic and projectable left-handed hitting prospect that plays up the middle on the dirt. The swing decisions he put on display against velocity and collegiate commits two/three years his senior at the event was impressive, and the swing is easy to project upon given the angles he creates and the looseness of the stroke. As the arm continues to improve, there is a real chance we could see Gillespie sticking at shortstop long-term. Well deserved jump up the board here for him.
 

Tobias Bell | SS/2B | Druid Hills, GA
Previous Rank: T1000 | New Rank: 312

Left-handed hitting shortstop with quality bat speed and looseness in his wrists, with good size at 6’2 to project on moving forward. He has a strong lower half with wide shoulders, and may end up shifting over to the corner once it’s all said and done in terms of his physical growth. Regardless, he has a chance to hit for some power given the swing and angles he is able to create with it. The key for Bell to unlock that power is finding the contact points to get the ball to his pull-side more often, as his DK+ spray charts show a more back-side oriented hitter right now. If he can unlock some impact to his pull-side, expect a big tick up in power numbers moving forward. Bell now ranks #312 in the country.

Austin Maiden, SS, Woodland Hills, CA | Chaminade College Prep

A dynamic shortstop that has surged 22 spots to claim the 27th spot in the country, up from 49, after an impressive performance at the 2025 15U Ultimate Baseball Championship. The 5-foot-10, 170lb middle infielder showcased a solid skillset and posting a 1.187 OPS over 21 at-bats, including three doubles and four RBI’s. He earned All-Tournament honors while leading Wow Factor to a deep playoff run with a remarkable streak of home runs. His newfound power, complemented by his plate discipline, highlight an advanced game that has scouts buzzing about his potential as one of the class’s top talents. With his athleticism and consistent production, Maiden is rapidly establishing himself as a must-watch prospect for 2028


Kensen Johnson, SS, Chula Vista, CA | Bonita Vista HS

The athletic 6-foot-4 shortstop, has risen 133 spots in the national rankings, climbing from 162nd to 29th, signaling his rapid ascent as a top prospect in the 2028 class. His frame, which scouts have admired for its projection, toolsy profile, is exciting to see unfold. It was on full display during the WWBA in Jupiter, where he earned All-Tournament honors racking up five hits in twelve plate appearances, including a standout game with four RBIs. Johnson’s also been up to 91 mph on the mound. As he continues to refine his game, particularly on defense, Johnson’s combination of size, athleticism, and multi-faceted skill set makes him a must-watch name.

Kobe Reese, OF, Newcastle, WA | Eastside Catholic HS

The definition of a rankings riser, Reese epitomizes the blend of performance, production, and tools coveted by top college programs, as evidenced by his massive 451-spot jump from 550th to 99th in the national rankings. This leap underscores his high upside, particularly with a burgeoning power tool that complements his physical 6-foot-3, 200lb frame. A definite prospect to watch closely. His athleticism and frame suggest continued development, positioning him as a key player to monitor in the coming years

Chase Fillman, OF, Goodyear, AZ | Millennium HS

Fillman has made a staggering leap in the national rankings, jumping 187 spots from 300 to 113th. The 2-way stars’ recent showcase performance was nothing short of impressive. Fillman posted 94 mph from the outfield suggesting it’s a definite arm talent. While his offensive prowess at the plate suggests middle-of-the-order potential with impactful, intent-driven swings. This combination of pitching prowess and offensive upside positions Fillman as a player to watch, with his stuff and athleticism have him poised for further development as he continues to rise through the ranks.

Tanner Ball, RHP/1B, Houston Christian (TX)

At 6-foot-4 220 pounds, Ball has quickly risen up the ranks for the 2028 class and quite honestly doesn’t appear to be anywhere near his ceiling. He was recently up to 92 mph in October while showing feel for spinning his vertical curveball. His mechanics—particularly the lower-half—still need some refining but the frame and arm speed offer a ton of intrigue at this point. The right-hander Ball showed a ton of promise despite limited appearances at PG events this summer. He will certainly be an arm to keep eyes on next summer and throughout years to come.


Todd "T" Raleigh Jr., C/3B, Rabun Gap Nacoochee (NC)

Raleigh Jr. jumps up nearly 300 spots in the updated version of the 2028 class rankings. At 6-foot-3 200-pounds, the switch-hitting catcher looks every bit of the part with a fast-budding power tool that will continue to emerge. He swings a heavy barrel that gets on-plane often and creates effortless leverage from gap to gap. Raleigh Jr. has shown advanced consistency in the stick with his bat speed improving rapidly. It won’t be much longer before he climbs into the top 100 for the class. 


Ryan Gaines, RHP/OF, Highland School (VA)

Gaines takes a well-deserved leap up to no. 162 in the class and fourth in the state. The 6-foot-4 180-pound right-hander really knows how to pitch and showed off some nasty stuff this fall. His fastball has been clocked at 89 mph with easy carry to it. The pitch takes on a run and sink profile with tough action down in the zone. Gaines spins a tight curveball with late depth that results in empty swings pretty often. The Virginia native has a ton of physical upside remaining, making him one of the most intriguing arms on the east coast. 


Evan Goodmon, OF/3B, West Orange HS (FL)

Goodmon put together a very special campaign at the plate this year. The 6-foot-3 righty hitter batted .490 with 15 doubles and three homers in 42 games at PG events. He finds barrels often, creating frequent impact and leverage to the middle of the field. Goodmon has shown the strength to leave the yard, and he projects for more power as he continues to physically mature. His jump in the rankings is certainly well-deserved after a breakout year in 2025. Goodmon is expected to continue his ascent towards the top 100 as he looks to turn in another dominant summer in next year’s circuit.

The 2026 MLB Draft class is shaping up to be one of the better in recent memory and, potentially, the best class in the last decade. It’s led by UCLA superstar shortstop Roch Cholowsky, a true five-tool prospect who’s the early favorite for 1:1. One of the most popular pieces of industry feedback when constructing this list was some variation of “Roch is too low” or “go up on Roch” and he’s the best college prospect since 2019 when Adley Rutschman (Oregon State, Orioles) was the consensus No. 1 prospect. In every major sport, the championship is decided in the postseason. You can lose games all year, get hot at the right time, and walk away with the hardware. The regular season is a rehearsal. The playoffs are the show.  The championship belt changes that. Borrowed from professional wrestling, boxing and ultimate fighting, the belt travels the moment the holder loses — no brackets, no seeding, no second chances. A random Tuesday non-conference game in Milledgeville, Georgia  becomes a title fight. A spring trip to Florida becomes a gauntlet. The defending national champion can lose the belt before February is over.  We’re tracking three belts this season — NCAA Division II, NAIA, and NCAA Division III — each starting with the defending national champion. We have another update to the National Top-50 after two weeks of even more games being played in the southern states along with seasons just starting to kick off across the country. We’re quickly approaching another stellar high school event, the NHSI in Cary, and with that will come even more movement in these rankings. St. John Bosco (CA) continues to hold firm at the No. 1 position after a 4-0 start to their season. Venice (FL) has been rolling throughout the early portion of the year and jumps up to No. 2 in the country. One of the biggest movers in this update is The Bennett School (TX) jumping from unranked to No. 8 in the country after beating a handful of top ranked programs to start the year.
