OF Greg Pickett (2015, Legend HS, Aurora, CO): The 6-4/210 Pickett was a complete unknown coming into the event but the Colorado resident put his name on the 2015 Top Prospect list very quickly, launching ball after ball into the top of the trees beyond the scoreboard in right centerfield during batting practice. He carried the same powerful left-handed swing into games. Pickett also threw up to 87 mph off the mound and is a solid all-around athlete.

3B/1B Curtis Terry (2015, Archer HS, Snellville, GA): It was close as to who showed more raw bat speed and power, Pickett or the 6-2/220 right-handed hitting Terry. While Pickett blasted high majestic home runs in batting practice, Terry’s got to the top of the trees in left field on a line and left the yard quickly. Pickett gets the nod as the better present prospect on being a better overall athlete but Terry’s bat has a chance to be just as special.

SS/RHP Tekwaan Whyte (2015, Stephenson HS, Stone Mountain, GA): White has tools all over the field and is “only” 6-0/150 with plenty of room to add strength. He’s a 6.9 runner with hitting ability from both sides of the plate and showed he could play both outfield and middle infield well. He may project even better on the mound, where he threw 88-90 with a fast, loose arm and the makings of a good curveball.

C John Michael Boswell (2015, Paideia HS, Atlanta, GA): Boswell had one of the top bats at the showcase, with a short, fast swing that will enable him to hit for a high average and the strength and swing plane to produce plenty of extra base hits as well. He showed good overall tools behind the plate but the bat will play at any position.

2B Jordan Scott (2015, Salem HS, Conyers, GA):  Scott has a potentially dynamic combination of power and speed on a switch-hitting middle infielder.  He ran a 6.69 in the sixty and belted a long game home run from the right side.  He could stay at second base or potentially move to centerfield in the future.

C/SS Reilly Johnson (2015, Winter Haven HS, Lake Wales, FL): Johnson isn’t very big at 5-9/150 but he has the physical tools to play both catcher and shortstop at a high level, including popping a 1.82 from behind the plate and running a 6.8 in the sixty. Johnson is also a very confident right-handed hitter with quick hands and some gap power.

RHP Keaton Gibson (2015, Buford (GA) HS): Gibson looks the part of the pitching prospect at 6-3/195 and has a loose, fast arm from a mid to low three-quarters arm slot. He pitched in the 84-88 mph range with lots of life and showed good spin on a mid-70s curveball.

RHP/OF Terrell McCall II (2015, Stephenson HS, Lithonia, GA): McCall pitched in the mid-80s, topping out at 86 mph, with perhaps the best curveball at the event and the ability to throw both pitches for consistent strikes. He’s also a high level outfield prospect with 6.7 speed and a quick right-handed bat.

OF/RHP Tyler Heinrichs (2015, Milton HS, Marietta, GA): Heinrichs is a standout all-around athlete who ran a 6.75, showed lots of right-handed bat speed and threw 88 mph off the mound. He’s 6-2/180 and is going to keep improving as he gets stronger.

SS/RHP Tyler Thompson (2016, Hardin Valley HS, Knoxville, TN): The 6-4/165 Thompson is a primary shortstop but has more projectable tools as a right-handed pitcher based on this look. He was 84-87 off the mound with tons of fastball life and a nice hard slider to go with obvious physical projection. His right-handed swing was solid and should continue to improve with additional strength.

RHP/3B Isaiah Musa (2015, Westminster Christian HS, Miami, FL): Musa has legit two-way potential, with an 84-87 fastball from an easy, low effort delivery being his best present tool. He also has a long, loose swing with good present bat speed.

2B Hunter Holland (2015, Baylor HS, Soddy Daisy, TN): Holland’s bat speed and ability to consistently hit hard line drives stood out in BP and in games. He also quickly showed that he was a grinder on the field who performed and had leadership skills.

OF Brian Syphoe (2015, Greater Atlanta Christian HS, Lilburn, GA): Syphoe has a nice right-handed swing with very quick hands and made consistent hard contact in batting practice and games with present gap power. He also has a strong arm from the outfield and threw 83 mph off the mound.

SS Matthew Pita (2015, Cosby HS, Moseley, VA): At 5-10/160 Pita has enough strength in his hands to really explode them to the baseball and create very good bat speed. He’s a 6.9 runner and a good overall athlete.

SS/RHP Davis Daniel (2016, St. James HS, Pike Road, AL): Daniel is a young and promising two-way prospect. He has lots of right-handed power potential that should keep improving as he fills out his 6-0/160 build and he has a loose arm on the mound that produced an 86 mph fastball.

C Jake Zarrello (2016, Westminster Christian HS, Miami, FL): Zarello is only a sophomore but he stands out physically at 6-2/195 and has some man strength to him. He also has a very nice left-handed swing with bat speed and lift to go with solid catching skills behind the plate.

C Jack McPherson (2015, Mountain Brook (AL) HS): McPherson has a nice projectable build and a strong left-handed bat that shows present power with more to come. He looked very solid behind the plate as well.

LHP Hugh Fisher (2017, Memphis University HS, Eads, TN): Fisher is very young and slender at 6-2/155 but is already showing his arm strength. He topped out at 86 mph and flashed a curveball in the low-70s with good spin.

SS Darius Sewell (2015, Lakeside HS, Decatur, GA): Sewell is very slender at 6-3/160 but has surprising strength in his hands and in his right-handed swing. He’s also a 6.9 runner with easy athletic actions on defense.

SS Cory Watt (2015, A.C. Reynolds HS, Asheville, NC): Watt impressed with his very smooth, instinctive defensive actions at shortstop but also showed a quick right-handed bat and a mature hitting approach at the plate that resulted in line drives all over the field.

C Manny Chavarria (2015, Lee County HS, Smithville, GA): Chavarria graded out well across the board both offensively and defensively. He’s a loose 6-0/175 athlete with some present strength and more to come.

1B Zach Sears (2015, Hardin Valley HS, Knoxville, TN): Sears is 6-1/200 and very strong. His right-handed swing is very compact and short for a power hitters but he showed big over the fence power in batting practice and took good game swings, too.

LHP Ethan Gillis (2015, Whitewater HS, Senioa, GA): Gillis immediately stands out with his 6-6/240 build and he has a long, loose whippy arm action to go with it. He topped out at 86 mph on his fastball and pounded the strike zone with each of his three pitches.

OF/LHP Nick Bush (2015, Lee County HS, Leesburg, GA): Bush is a projectable young athlete with a strong left-handed swing and good overall athleticism. He also topped out at 85 mph on the mound with one of the better curveballs at the event.

C Kole Cottam (2015, Knoxville (TN) Catholic HS, TN): The 6-2/185 Cottom has a nice combination of hitting and defensive tools. His best defensive tool is his arm strength and he showed in the games that he likes to throw the ball, too. He has present gap power at the plate with good bat speed and more to come.

LHP Brett Decker (2015, Veterans HS, Bonaire, GA): Decker struck out eight hitters in his three innings of work, using a very loose, low effort arm action to produce a lively 85 mph fastball and sharp breaking 72 mph curveball. He’s 6-3/200 with some present strength and lots of projection.

C Tucker Pate (2016, Karns HS, Knoxville, TN): The 6-1/200 Pate showed big arm strength behind the plate, registering 80 mph during drills. He also showed big power potential with the bat.

3B Nolan Wilson (2017, Lakeside HS, Atlanta, GA): Wilson is very young and his athletic tools have not started to blossom yet but his bat really stood out for his relative age. He’s 6-1/170, creates some present bat speed and hits like he knows what he’s doing and is confident of it.

1B Kobe Atkins (2016, Arabia Mountain HS, Stone Mountain, GA): The 6-1/200 Atkins has a very sound approach from the right side and lots of present power. He’s going to hit a bunch of home runs over the course of his career

OF C.J. Ballard (2015, Pike County HS, Zebulon, GA): Ballard had a nice combination of 6.7 running speed and bat speed from the left side of the plate. He should keep improving as he gets stronger.
