AZ Elite Diamond Jaxx (2-0) 5, Perfect Game USA White (0-2) 1 RHP’s Sean Nicol and Jake Conroy combined on a 3-hitter as the AZ Elite Diamond Jaxx defeated Perfect Game USA White 5-1. Nicol opened with 3 no-hit innings, allowing only a 1st inning walk. The 2 pitchers also combined for 3 hits, with Nicol leading off the game with a double and later adding a single. 3B Nick Evans, who homered in the Diamond Jaxx first game, had 2 more hits, including a triple. All Star Baseball Academy (2-0) 8, DSA Mustangs (0-2) 5 All-Star Baseball Academy slammed 5 doubles and held off a late rally to defeat the DSA Mustangs 8-5. SS Brian Yoder had two of the doubles and scored 2 runs for All Star Baseball. LF Alex Tkairis, C Daniel Butler and DH Chad Murray had the other extra base hits. RHP Jake Ruckle went 4 2/3’s innings, the first 4 without allowing a hit, to get the victory. DSA bunched together 8 hits over the last 3 innings to make the score close. LF Ryan Hanlon had a 2 run home run and a single and scored twice. DH Brandon Torchiia had a double and a single but was left stranded both times. AZ Elite Diamond Jaxx (2-0-1) 6, Orange County Angels (1-1-1) 6 The Orange County Angels jumped out to a 6-1 lead only to see the AZ Elite Diamond Jaxx come back to force a 6-6 tie. The Diamond Jaxx scored 4 runs in the 5th inning, the final 2 coming on a clutch 2 run, 2 out double by RF Chris Highmark. SS Nick Cowery had two hits and scored 2 runs for the Diamond Jaxx and C Ryan Baker had an Rbi double and a single in the 4 run rally. The Angels scored 5 runs the first 2 innings on 6 hits but were held hitless the rest of the way by reliever RHP Eric Miller. Dugout Baseball Club (2-1) 10, Perfect Game USA White (0-3) 0 RHP Jason Haar scattered 5 hits over 5 shutout innings to lead Dugout Baseball Club to a 10-0 victory over Perfect Game USA White. 2B Justin Snyder drove in 4 runs out of the leadoff spot with 2 doubles, one with the bases loaded, plus a triple. DH Chris Olson added 2 Rbi singles for Dugout. East LA Dodgers (3-0) 6, All Star Baseball Academy (2-1) 4 6th inning Rbi singles by late inning substitutes DH Henry Barrera and 1B R.J. Cornell broke open a 4-4 tie and led the East LA Dodgers to a 6-4 victory over All Star Baseball Academy in a battle of two undefeated teams. 3B Cody Decker had put the Dodgers in position to win with 2 triples that accounted for 3 Rbi’s, then led off the 6th inning with a single. All Star Baseball scored all their runs in the 5th inning. CF Braden Wells and DH Ryan Davis had 2 out Rbi hits in the inning. DSA Mustangs (1-2) 5, Inland Terror 2 (0-3) 1 The DSA Mustangs scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning to break open a 1-1 game and go on to a 5-1 victory over Inland Terror 2. RF Jake Jolly started the inning with a single and after an error on a sac bunt attempt, pinch hitter Ryan Hanlon drilled a 2-run double. 1B Ryan Stevens followed with a triple over the centerfielder’s head and later scored on a single by SS Dustin LeRoy. RHP Daniel Nicodemus pitched the 3rd thru the 6th inning for the win, while John Aguilar pitched a perfect 7th for the save. RHP John Mascetti had the Mustangs held down until the 7th. Colorado Slammers (3-0) 4, Inland Terror I (2-1) 1 The Colorado Slammers received their third consecutive strong starting pitching effort to beat the Inland Terror 1 in a game between 2 undefeated teams. RHP Kevin Biringer allowed a leadoff single to Terror RHP Carl Phillips before throwing 4 hitless innings. RHP Shawn Burnette (2) and LHP Pete Ford (1) finished the game. The Slammers scored 2 runs in the 1st inning on a 2 run single by C Reece Gorman and added 2 more in the 3rd on a triple by RF Cameron Smith before Phillips settled down and retired 12 of the last 13 hitters he faced. Phillips had 2 of the Terror’s 3 hits on the game. California Diamond Kings (1-2) 7, Perfect Game USA Gold (0-3) 0 RHP Stephen Smith and LHP Chase Thomas combined on a 3-hit shutout with 15 K’s to lead the California Diamond Kings to a 7-0 blanking of Perfect Game USA Gold. Smith went the first 6 innings before Thomas struck out the side in the 7th. The Diamond Kings scored 5 runs in the 4th inning to break up a close game, stringing together 3 singles, a walk, a hit batter, an infield error and some opportunistic base running. DH Derrick Miller and LF Kevin Patterson each had 2 hits and an Rbi for the Diamond Kings. LHP Nick Buchta had 2 hits including a double for PG Gold and pitched the first 3 innings. Perfect Game USA Royal (1-2) 8, San Jose Lightning (0-3) 6 Perfect Game USA Royal outlasted the San Jose Lightning 8-6 in an offensive battle Sunday morning. PG Royal scored 3 runs in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings to take the lead. RF Sam Thomas had a 2 run double and a sacrifice fly to lead the Royal offense and also contributed a diving 2-out bases loaded catch in right field. 1B Brendan Quon had a single and 2 walks and scored 2 runs. The Lightning outhit the Royal 8-6 but didn’t mix in the walks or the extra base hits like the victors. SS Gabe Alcantar had 2 hits and scored 2 runs for the Lightning, while Alex WeberShapiro also had 2 hits. ABD Bulldogs (2-0-1) 5, Orange County Crush (2-0-1) 5 The ABD Bulldogs scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th to tie the Orange County Crush and claim the top seed in the B Pool. 3B Nick Lukasawiez doubled in the first run with one out and an out later was singled in by DH Landon Hernandez. Both Lukasawiez and Hernandez had 2 hits on the game, with Lukasawiez scoring 3 times and Hernandez driving in 2 and scoring another. The Crush scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning without benefit of a hit and added 2 more in the 3rd on a 2 out double off the left field wall by 3B Josh Potter. Potter’s hit and a 7th inning double by DH Scott Wade were the team’s only hits. 1ST ROUND PLAYOFFS Perfect Game USA Royal 8, Inland Terror 1 0 RHP James Simmons threw a masterful 3-hit, no walk shutout to lead Perfect Game USA Royal to an 8-0 victory over Inland Terror 1. Simmons, who had started the 3 previous games at shortstop, touched 89 mph and did an excellent job of changing speeds with his curveball and change up. To top it off, Simmons contributed a 2 run single in PG Royals’ 4 run 5th inning rally. LF Ryan Metzroth had a 2 run triple for PG Royal, who took advantage of numerous Terror walks and errors. California Diamond Kings 14, Orange County Crush 1 The California Diamond Kings shocked the Orange Country Crush with a 6 run outburst in the top of the first inning, then cruised to a 14-1 win in 5 innings. Diamond Kings 1B Tyler Waddell had the top offensive game of the PCI, hitting 2 doubles and a triple, driving in 4 runs and scoring 3. LF Bennett Villareal added 2 hits, 3 Rbis and 2 runs, while 2B Curtis Byron and DH Chase Thomas added 2 hits and 2 runs apiece. RHP Eddie Simons pitched the first 3 innings for the victory. Waddell finished up with 2 hitless innings. ABD Bulldogs 6, Perfect Game Gold 1 The ABD Bulldogs broke open a 0-0 tie with 3 runs in the 5th and 3 more runs in the 6th and finished up with a 6-1 win over Perfect Game Gold in the first round of the playoffs. RHP Trevor York went the distance for the Bulldogs, allowing 5 hits and striking out 10. York carried a 2 hit shutout until the 7th, when 3 straight PG Gold singles plated a run. SS Jeff Kupfer continued his hot hitting for PG Gold with 2 hits. LF Brian Joyce walked and scored the Bulldogs 1st run and singled in a run and scored another in the 6th inning. 3B Derek Kennedy had 2 hits for ABD. More than 30 teams from the 14U-18U age divisions will head to Fort Myers, Florida this Fourth of July weekend for the seventh annual Perfect Game Freedom Classic. The tournament, running July 3-6, features several nationally ranked prospects from across the country as teams look to compete for a championship. Headlining the field are twin brothers Derek and Ryan Yormark of Merrick, New York. Right-handed pitcher Derek Yormack is the No. 51-ranked player in the class of 2027, the No. 1 player in New York and the No. 5-ranked right-handed pitcher in the country. First baseman Ryan Yormark comes in just behind his twin brother as the No. 3 overall player in New York, the No. 5 first baseman in the nation and the No. 90-ranked player nationally. Championship teams often reveal themselves when the game isn’t going their way. Performance Baseball 2028/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team did exactly that. Trailing Florida Burn 2028 Scout through four innings, the Brewers refused to panic. Instead, they relied on timely hitting, consistent pitching, and an unselfish approach at the plate, rallying a five-run fifth inning before pulling away for a 9-5 victory to clinch their spot in the semifinals. The comeback was fueled by contributions throughout the lineup. Six different players drove in runs, including two RBIs each from Aiden Capobianco and Cameron Massey, while Matthew Heredia, Parker Weston, Ethan Smith, and Aj Bonnette each added an RBI of their own. JK Select Hawaii capped off an impressive tournament run by defeating GBG Vegas 14u Red14-4 in the championship game on Sunday at Goodyear Ballpark, claiming the 14u West World Series title. From the opening pitch, JK Select controlled the pace of the game. The offense jumped out early, scoring 6 runs in the 1st inning after timely hits from MVP Sean Shindo and Kade Manarpaac. The early lead gave the pitching staff confidence as they worked efficiently through the opposing lineup. “I've worked hard to get better at my game for the past few months; it means a lot that I did well and performed in a tournament like this” said Shindo. On the second day of the 2026 Perfect Game National Elite Championship, one swing turned heads across the ballpark. The next one brought everyone to a stop. With Wow Factor Nation 16U trailing midway through its matchup against Sandlot Scout Team 2028, Micheal O'Connor launched a solo home run to spark the offense. Just one batter later, Aaron Frink stepped into the box and sent another ball over the fence, delivering back-to-back home runs that quickly became one of the most talked about moments of the tournament’s opening days. Following a jam-packed week of entertainment at the 17u WWBA Championships, the top nationally ranked program, USA Prime 17u National/Detroit Tigers Scout Team, faced off against Stacked Baseball 17u (No. 80 nationally) in the highly anticipated championship matchup as both teams looked to earn one of the most prestigious titles in all of travel baseball. Each talented squad entered the finale undefeated, but Stacked Baseball continued their dominance throughout the tournament, defeating the Detroit Tigers Scout Team 10-2 in mercy rule fashion to become national champions behind explosive bats and impressive pitching. Flames Natty used timely hitting and a dominant start from Beau Collier to defeat NLB American 7-3 and capture the 18U BCS National Championship on Monday at Lee Health Sports Complex. Despite being assembled just hours before the tournament began, the Flames quickly developed chemistry throughout the tournament. “This team was put together 12 hours before this tournament, and they went on a crazy run,” head coach Adam Vasquez said. “These kids know each other locally, but they don’t play together.
