2026 MLB Draft: Best Available

2026 MLB Draft: Best Available for Day Two

A total of 135 players heard their name called on Saturday. As always, signability, bonus pool strategy, and organizational preferences play a major role in how the board unfolds. With that being said, we saw a majority of the top half off the board get selected, but there are a number of players ranked inside our Top 150 that remain available. From high-upside prep talent to polished college performers, these are the top names still available according to our Final Top 500 Draft Board.

Top Prep Bats Available (with Top-500 Board Rankings)

38. Archer Horn, SS/RHP, St. Ignatius College Prep (CA)
58. Blake Bowen, OF, JSerra Catholic (CA)
64. James Tronstein, SS/OF, Harvard-Westlake (CA)
66. Noah Wilson, OF, McCallie School (TN)
71. Cole Koeninger, SS/RHP, Keller (TX)
77. Sean Dunlap, C, Crown Point (IN)
82. Alex Weingartner, OF//RHP, St. Augustine Preparatory (NJ)
86. Brady Harris, OF, Trinity Christian Academy (FL)
96. Malachi Washington, OF, Parkview (GA)
106. Jon Mora, OF, Somerset Academy (FL)

The high school position player crop still features several intriguing upside plays. A trio of California preps are at the top of this list. Two-way standout Archer Horn leads the way. Teams will have to sign him away from a Stanford commit, which is always a tough task, but the athleticism and upside make him one of the best remaining talents regardless of position. Blake Bowen provides big right-handed power and James Tronstein is a quality athlete that had a monster spring. Tennessee prep Noah Wilson is another high-end athlete with offensive upside. Both him and Tronstein are Vanderbilt commits. Texas prep Cole Koeninger is another two-way player with loud tools, while Sean Dunlap is the top-ranked catcher remaining on the board. Alex Weingartner, Brady Harris, Malachi Washington and Jon Mora round out a collection of toolsy outfielders capable of coming off the board early on day two.

Top Prep Arms Available (with Top-500 Board Rankings)

38. Archer Horn, SS/RHP, St. Ignatius College Prep (CA)
42. Joseph Contreras, RHP, Blessed Trinity Catholic (GA)
71. Cole Koeninger, SS/RHP, Keller (TX)
73. Bo Holloway, LHP, Nolensville (TN)
82. Alex Weingartner, OF//RHP, St. Augustine Preparatory (NJ)
84. Landon Brown, RHP, Iowa Colony (TX)
95. Cooper Sides, RHP, Orange Lutheran (CA)
104. Savion Sims, RHP, Prestonwood Christian Academy (TX)
113. Grayson Willoughby, RHP, Trinity (KY)
120. Wilson Andersen, RHP, Tampa Jesuit (FL)

The high school pitching demographic had the least amount of players taken on day one with just 16 total pitchers selected. That means there is no shortage of prep arms available. Joseph Contreras and left-hander Bo Holloway headline a strong mix of power arms. Archer Horn, Cole Koeninger, and Alex Weingartner could all go as bats, but have enough upside on the mound to be considered by clubs as arms. There is a strong collection of Texas prep pitchers available. Landon Brown and Savion Sims, both possessing significant upside. Cooper Sides, Grayson Willoughby and Wilson Andersen complete a group of prep pitchers that clubs could go after on day two.

Top College Bats Available (with Top-500 Board Rankings)

62. Will Gasparino, OF, UCLA
88. Braden Holcomb, OF/3B, Vanderbilt
90. Jaxon Willits, SS, Oklahoma
93. Daniel Cuvet, CIF, Miami
122. Gavin Gallaher, 3B/2B, North Carolina
123. Alex Sosa, C, Miami
128. Eric Guevara, 3B, Auburn
130. Alex Hernandez, 2B/3B, Georgia Tech
137. Henry Ford, OF/1B, Tennessee
148. Dalton Wentz, 3B, Wake Forest

We saw college bats come off the bat early and often on day one. That has thinned out the remaining college bats on the board a bit, but there are still plenty of upside plays for teams to target. UCLA outfielder Will Gasparino headlines the group, bringing a mix of power and athleticism. Vanderbilt slugger Braden Holcomb and Miami’s Daniel Cuvet are two hitters that can provide massive right-handed power. Oklahoma shortstop Jaxon Willits is coming off a fantastic run in the College World Series and would bring a well-rounded profile to whichever club targets him. Miami catcher Alex Sosa and North Carolina’s Gavin Gallaher both were productive in the ACC this year. Despite 51 college bats coming off the board on day one, there are still plenty of profiles to be intrigued by on day two.

Top College Arms Available (with Top-500 Board Rankings)

125. Owen Kramkowski, RHP, Arizona
126. Trey Beard, LHP, Florida State
132. Ryan Marohn, LHP, NC State
144. Ross Norman, RHP, Coastal Carolina
145. Cal Randall, RHP, UCLA
150. Duncan Marsten, RHP, Wake Forest
153. Aidan Knaak, RHP, Clemson
158. LJ Mercurius, RHP, Oklahoma
161. Dylan Vigue, RHP, Georgia
163. Cal Scolari, RHP, Oregon

There is not a college arm that ranked inside our Top-125 that remains on the board. While that may mean the premier college pitching options are no longer available, there is still quality depth for clubs to go after on day two. Arizona’s Owen Kramkowski headlines the group alongside Florida State left-hander Trey Beard. NC State southpaw Ryan Marohn and Coastal Carolina’s Ross Norman both bring starter experience. UCLA’s Cal Randall may have the best fastball in the class and is a premium relief option that remains available. Wake Forest’s Duncan Marsten has big time upside, although he does come with a fair amount of risk. Aiden Knaak, LJ Mercurius, and Cal Scolari round out a group of arms capable of providing value as the draft moves into its middle rounds.

‘28 OF/LHP Carson Tabler (OH) Rips one deep into the pull side gap for an inside-the-park HR. Athletic in the box w/ a projectable frame. Utilizes a toe tap on a fluid stroke w/ good bat speed. A rather unknown for me and my staff going into the event, Tabler managed to cement himself by event’s end. It’s a true two-way projection at this stage, while he has the size in the 6-foot-3 long and loose frame, the strength will continue to add on to the 175-pound stature. While he only had two extra-base hits (triple, home run), the bat-to-ball skills were the calling card, and...
