JUCO Top 25: March 5

Now a little over a month into the 2024 JUCO season the cream has risen to the top and we are seeing stagnation of our top 5 squads at the top. Weatherford continues to win ballgames and is honestly the team we have thought is the best on paper dating back to our initial Top 50 ranks. Gaston and Gulf Coast respective records for speak for themselves, both compiling quality early season wins. Central Arizona may have a couple more tallies in the loss column than the aforementioned teams but using just a slight bit of nuance in the overall evaluation, it's easy to say they have played one of the toughest schedules in the country thus far and will continue as they navigate a tough Arizona landscape. John A. Logan rounds out our top 5, they continue to win on the backs of an elite pitching staff and after Wabash Valley’s floundering start of season, the Vols are considered the early March favorite to represent the region.

It was past due to make a statement with Iowa Western and Salt Lake but after another clean sheet week for both, it was time to fire them both up the board and into the Top 10. LSU-Eunice continues to roll but the teller for the Bengals will be the first weekend of April set against in-state rival Delgado. Pearl River chugs along after a pair of walk-off wins against two of the better MAAC squads in Jones and Mississippi Gulf Coast.



A pair of new squads enter the Top 25, everyone welcome Kansas City Kansas and the undefeated East Central.
