Well, here we are embarking on the best time of the year for college baseball fans as conference tournaments start up across the nation. Every game has massive ramifications and the teams on “the bubble” are on stolen bid watch, hoping no team comes out of obscurity and steals one of those coveted spots in the Field of 64. None of the teams in our Top-25 have much to worry about from a bid standpoint, but are trying to solidify their chances of being a host sight when the field is announced a week from now. There were some small changes within the Top-5 but for the second consecutive week the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (45-9) remain No.1 and are the only club with single digit losses on the year. Florida (42-13) jumps to No.2 on the heels of their SEC Regular Season co-championship, having secured the 1-seed in Hoover this week. The Stanford Cardinal (37-14) was perfect on the week and move up to No.3 as they head to the Pac-12 Conference Tournament. Arkansas (39-15) lost their first conference series in a month and drop to No.4 even though they are the other piece of that shared SEC Regular Season championship. The Clemson Tigers (39-17) remain the hottest team in the country, are No.5 this week, and head to Durham with a 12-game win streak in tow.

The Vanderbilt Commodores (37-17) got themselves off the mat taking down the Razorbacks and jump up to No.10 as the 4-seed in Hoover. On the strength of a 9-game win streak, the Virginia Cavaliers (44-11) are one of our biggest movers, up to No.12 in the new poll. Auburn (33-19) continues to find ways to wins games, are up to No.13 and have won five SEC series in a row. The Alabama Crimson Tide (38-17) continues their magical few weeks by sweeping Ole Miss and are No.16 as they stare down the reality of bringing postseason baseball to Tuscaloosa.

A few teams are looking to right the ship going into their conference tournaments and hope they didn’t peak too early going into the postseason. The Duke Blue Devils (35-19) have lost consecutive ACC series and may have potentially let their hosting chances slip away, dropping to No.17 this week. The West Virginia Mountaineers (39-16) drop to No.20 after they got swept in a profound manner by Texas last weekend and back their way into a share of the Big-12 Regular Season championship. Campbell (41-13) continues to trend downward and land at No.21 after losing the series at USC Upstate and had to play a Game 3, 12-inning thriller to secure the Big South Regular season title. South Carolina (38-17) continues to struggle with a beat-up roster, have lost 4 straight SEC series and fall all the way to No.22. Kentucky (37-16) has only won 1 of their last 7 SEC series and hold on at No.25, looking to make some noise in the coming days.
