PG Top 10 articles aim to point out fun and/or interesting data points regarding all things Perfect Game, whether it involves PG alums who are exceeding in MLB, or young prep players poised to join them one day.

The Perfect Game All-American Classic has always been the best place to watch a game if you are wondering which of that year's high school baseball crop will turn into Big Leaguers. Each year, Perfect Game invites 60 of the top prep players from around the country to perform on a big stage, and as of late, around one-third of those prospects are drafted in the first round of the following MLB Draft, while another large percentage of them go to college and turn into first round picks a few years down the road.



In total, 242 Perfect Game All-Americans have been drafted in the first round, and 235 have made their MLB debut. The most recent examples of both of those are Bobby Witt Jr, the No. 1 prospect in baseball, and a pair of Padres - MacKenzie Gore and CJ Abrams.

PG All-Americans haven't just made recent impacts on Major League Baseball, however. There have been alumni of the Classic on MLB rosters for more than a decade, with the list including MVPs, Cy Young winners, and many All Stars.
