SOUTHEAST REGION
(GA, AL, MS, TN, LA)

The Southeast Region is loaded as always, loaded to the point that one of the region’s 10 PG All-Americans, middle infielder Gavin Guidry (La.), couldn’t even find a spot on the All-Region Dream Team.  And if it’s quality you’re looking for over quantity, three of the top four prospects in the 2022 class, shortstop Termarr Johnson, right-handed pitcher Dylan Lesko and outfielder Andruw Jones, all hail from Georgia.

For impressive as Georgia’s talent contribution is, maybe the most notable development in the Southeast Region over the past few years is the rapid development of high-quality teams and players across Alabama and especially Mississippi.  Both those states have two schools ranked in the PG Top 50 Preseason rankings, part of the 11 teams from the Region in the rankings.

Buford (Ga.) High School, led by three All-Region selections in Lesko, two-way standout Riley Stanford and power-hitting outfielder Kaden Martin, is the highest ranked team in the region, checking in at No. 6 to start the season.
