Jason Phillips' Projected Champion3n2 Sticks Baseball- Brewster
3n2 Sticks Baseball- Brewster have the roster mix of talented players and pitching depth to take the WWBA National Champion Title back to Texarkana, Ark. Good pitching beats good hitting and 3n2 Sticks is loaded with a number of quality arms from both sides of the bump. With right-handers Cooper Dossett (Arkansas) and Dillon Orr (Tennessee) to go along with left-handers Blaise Grove (South Carolina) and Parker Coil (Arkansas), they can match up against any team in the tournament with four games in pool play in three days. Mix in 2023 two-way prospects MJ Seo, with a fastball up to 94 mph, and Nazzan Zanetello (Miami) as well as 2025 grad Minjae Seo, and the pitching staff is loaded with highly-ranked prospects and Division-I commits. Outfielder Justin Best (Florida State) will be the catalyst for the offense as runs will be at a premium during the tournament with quality arms across every team. Backstops Charlie Carter (Oklahoma State) and Tripp Landers (TCU) will handle the staff as well as provide thump at the plate, with Ty Waid (Arkansas), Zanetello and Jayce Blalock (Georgia Tech) also contributing. 3n2 Sticks Baseball- Brewster is coming off a highly-successful summer schedule and primed to continue their winning ways as 2021 WWBA National Champions.

Craig Cozart's Projected Champion: FTB/Philadelphia Phillies Scout Team
When you talk about an organization that has seen over 40 of its alumni reach the Big Leagues, it is hard to overstate the consistency with which FTB produces a powerhouse team year-after-year. As hard as it may be to comprehend, this year's roster may be the best to date. Elijah Green, the No. 1 ranked player in the 2022 class, has the best power and speed combination the game has seen in quite some time. He is an elite defender and will be flanked by Andruw Jones and Deamez Filipe’ Ross, making this the best outfield in the nation. Behind the plate, Luke Heyman is a toolsy, athletic catcher who will be handling a deep, power-armed pitching staff. Led by the switch-pitching Jurrangelo Cijntje, Luis Rujano, William Ross and Bradley Hodges, the pitching staff is supremely talented, has length and can match up well against any roster around. Austin Hawke, Blake Cyr, and Tucker Toman were guys that Perez described as glue guys, that on a daily basis do the little things to help this talented group come together as a cohesive unit. Not only that, but they also comprise one of the best glove/hit infields on the circuit. This group checks their egos at the door, plays with high energy and great chemistry. Those are the attributes that should help them bring home the 2021 WWBA World Championship.

Vinnie Cervino's Projected Champion: CBA Marucci/Red Sox Scout Team
CBA Marucci made it to the second round of the 17u WWBA National Championship before losing by one run, but judging from the rosters you’d be hard pressed to find a better collection of pure talent. They’ll be led by All-Americans Justin Crawford and Xavier Cardenas III as well as a litany of other top-100 prospects including Cutter Coffey, Brady Reynolds, and Toby Twist. There’s a number of impact arms who should be able to provide plenty of innings, as from a roster standpoint CBA is equipped for the long haul and has as good a shot as anyone to come home with the Jupiter crown.

Colt Olinger’s Projected Champion: East Coast Sox – Franchise
Coming off an earlier-than-expected departure in the 2020 WWBA after earning the No. 1 seed, this year’s Sox group looks poised to avenge last year’s quiet exit. With 11 SEC commits on the roster and a balance of pitching and offense, this team not only has the high-level talent, but the depth required to win the eight games to bring home a championship. With guys like Mason Morris, Cole Ketchum, Patrick Galle, and Cale Comeaux back, this is one of the more experienced rosters in the event and when you look at the additions of guys like the talented two-way standout Owen Egan and his West Coast partner Casey Borba, the depth just continues to pile up. I like the overall construction of this roster to complement one another as this group will be able to win games in multiple ways.

Drew Wesolowski's Projected Champion: South Charlotte Panthers
The South Charlotte Panthers look poised to make a title run as they sport almost 25 D-I commits on their roster, many of which have played together over most of their respective prep careers. The pitching staff will be deep, as we all know you need arms to win in Jupiter, that will be headlined by Eli Jerzembeck, Heath Andrews, and the young phenom Samuel Cozart. They will also be carried offensively by Louisville commit Logan Wagner, Virginia Tech commit Garrett Michel, and a hot streaking 2023 in Isaac Armstrong. Scott Clemons and Don Hutchins will have the boys ready to play and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them make a run at a WWBA World Championship.

Brian Sakowski's Projected Champion: Reds Scout Team
I’ve already written about this Reds Scout Team having a disappointing showing offensively in Iowa at Kernels, but the setting is right for them to round into form in Jupiter and take this club really far. The pitching depth stands out, such an absolutely vital piece to the competitive puzzle when it comes to the WWBA World Championship, and if their offense can produce enough, they should be tough to beat. They have the ability to roll 13-14 deep on the mound of talented pitchers, and just need their offense to have a consistent pulse for this to potentially be a special week for the Midwestern boys.

Jheremy Brown's Projected Champion:
MLB Breakthrough
The MLB Breakthrough club is favored to come out of their pool, and though it'll be a challenging one with a loaded NEB roster vying for bracket play, they have an exceptional amount of talent up and down the lineup. Led by six Perfect Game All-Americans in the power threats of Cam Collier and Kaden Martin, the ultra-athletic RJ Austin, Adonys Guzman, whose bazooka of an arm immediately thwarts the oppositions running game, hard throwing right-hander Jaden Noot and perhaps the best amateur hit tool in the country in Termarr Johnson, and they have several big pieces filling key roles. You need more than five prospects, however, to make a run and Breakthrough has just that with a collection of high-end prospects, including some underclassmen, who'll be more than up to the challenge of playing under the bright lights in Jupiter and making a deep run at the whole thing.

Isaiah Burrows' Projected Champion: Georgia Bombers
The Georgia Bombers not only have the talent to win Jupiter, but their effort and drive on every play stands out during the biggest tournaments of the year. The Bombers are loud and play off one another. They string together timely hits at the perfect time and make the gritty plays needed to win. On paper, the arms are deep and plentiful to go along with several impactful bats. The talent speaks for itself. Most importantly, each member plays until the final pitch. They are tremendously coached and certainly have what it takes to make a deep run.

John McAdams’ Projected Champion: Dirtbags
The Sedalia, N.C.-based Dirtbags come to Jupiter with an absolutely loaded roster primed for a deep playoff run. University of Miami commit TayShaun Walton is the highest-ranked member of the team at No. 5 in our latest Class of 2023 Rankings, as he assuredly will provide thump to the lineup. The trio of Ashton Larson, Connor Fuhrman and Max Kaufer provide length and will be right in the middle of any run-producing opportunity. Coastal Carolina commit Caden Bodine adds experience behind the dish, where he will team up with Kaufer to command the pitching corps. Texas A&M commit Colin Linder, Vanderbilt commit Nathan Teague, and Tennessee commit Bradley Gagen will lead the pitching staff, as each bring their own individual look and should be counted upon into the playoff run. An experienced coaching staff led by Andy Partin will certainly bode well for the talent-packed roster, having won the event prior. Look for the combination of big bats, sure-handed defenders and power arms to lead The Dirtbags, as they look to hoist the trophy at the best amateur baseball event in the world.

Jered Goodwin's Projected Champion: Canes National
Canes Scout Team is the pick here. The lineup is an absolute nightmare for opposing pitchers with Perfect Game All-Americans Cole Young, Ryan Clifford, Malcolm Moore, Roman Anthony and Eli Serrano who are all primed for one last run on the biggest prep stage on the planet, known as “Jupiter”. They bring maturity and experience to the club after most were at the WWBA World Championships last year as underclassmen and made it to the championship game. The other thing they all bring are heavy sticks with the ability to change the game with a single pass of the clubhead. The pitching is a bit revamped, though the headliner is Luke Schmolke, who will buckle some knees with his powerful breaking ball. Underclass arms have really thrived in recent years and the Canes have some of the most talented young arms in the country with Tucker Holland, Dylan Questad, Christian Rodriguez, and Jonah Conradt. All look primed to take the big next step on the circuit and bring another World Championship home for the storied Canes organization.

Tyler Russo's Projected Champion: San Diego Show
The Show come to Jupiter this year with a different looking roster than a year ago, but many of those that played key roles as underclassmen return and look to lead the charge. They’re led by Perfect Game All-American Mikey Romero, one of the better pure hitters in the entire event, while fellow top-100 prospects Mason Neville, Karson Bowen and Dean West give them fire power in the heart of what should be a deep lineup. They’re solid on the mound with Duke Ekstrom, Matthew Porchas, and Louis Rodriguez, giving them all they should need to get into the playoffs, where the rest of their talented arms and two-way players should keep them in games enough for the offense to get the job done and give the West Coast a title in back-to-back years.
