Truitt Manuel (2024, Fletcher, N.C.), a 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, showed why he is the No. 1 right-hander in the 2024 North Carolina class. Manuel threw six shutout innings for 5 Star Carolina 15U National against Cangelosi Sparks 2024 Black. He ran the fastball up to 89 mph, sitting in the mid-80s with a breaking ball in the low-70s at a 65% strike rate. He finished with eight strikeouts and allowed five hits, but ultimately did not factor in the decision as he left the bump after 93 pitches locked in a scoreless tie. Manuel did all he could do on the bump for 5 Star Carolina as they lost a heartbreaker to the Cangelosi Sparks in the bottom of the seventh inning. He finished an outstanding 15U WWBA from the bump with nine scoreless innings and 14 strikeouts.
