13u World Series Scout Notes: Days 1-2 | Day 3

Rouselle "Rookie" Shepard (2026, North Las Vegas, Nev.) has become a can’t miss at-bat this tournament, though the end result has more or less become the same thing in that he’s finding the barrel at an incredible rate while working to all parts of the field with comfort. Twice on Wednesday he showed the ability to adjust and site back on a breaking ball, first doing so with two strikes and lining a single into right field before going back up the middle later in the day in a left-on-left matchup. Just for good measure he got to show off the bat speed and strength with a long double the opposite way in the Texas Canes’ first game of the day, generating some lift at the point of contact with intriguing carry already.
