Michael Paul (2022, Salt Lake City, Utah) is an athlete that immediately catches your eye on the diamond. He features a lean frame with strength throughout that moves exceptionally around the field. The offensive profile is advanced in all aspects. The swing has plus at speed that whips the barrel through the zone. Its slight uppercut bat path produces natural loft that helps him drive the ball in the air with authority. The power plays, especially to the pull side. He finds the barrel often with loud contact that produces damage. The speed adds another element to his game that help him add value. He is a plus runner down that line that has the ability to accelerate quickly. It makes him a stolen base threat and a guy that can take extra bases on balls in the gap. The hit and power tool grade out as above-average tools at the next level that will produce often.

Garren Rizzo (2023, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) was one of the better arms on the day, no matter the time slot. The Washington commit  features a high-waisted frame with some strength throughout. The arm speed was impressive, as the ball jumped out of his hand. He primarily used a two-pitch mix. The fastball sat 86-91 mph with ride through the zone. The above-average velocity and arm speed on the offering allowed it to get on hitters quickly. The curveball sat 74-76 mph with lags break. It generated whiffs often thanks to his ability to funnel it off the heater. Rizzo showed impressive stuff to go along with a competitive fire on the mound that is needed to attack hitters.
