Unfortunately, a heavy storm cell rolled through halfway into the morning slot, and games had to be moved to Jet Blue ballpark in Fort Myers. Before the weather delay, right-hander Alexander Umland (2024, Los Angeles, Calif.) put together three solid innings for the PFA Matadors, fanning four and allowing just one hit. Umland’s fastball sits 79-82 mph and he works it to both sides of the plate well. His high 11-to-5 shaped curveball comes in around 71 mph and possesses some good depth to the plate. Moreover, he really hasn’t grown into or developed his lengthy 6-foot-3 frame yet which makes his projectability limitless at the moment.
