Coastal Championships Scout Notes: Day 1

The 5 Star Carolina National team has a stacked line up every year and today was no different. They are an all-around solid ball club with very talented players that do the little things right. Three players that really stood out today were Isaiah Hunter and Owen Michelson on the offensive side and Steele Lee on the mound.

Isaiah Hunter (Wilmington, NC 2023) is the lead-off hitter and he is a spark plug, using his great speed to put pressure on the defense. The uncommitted shortstop has great athleticism as well as a great frame for a middle infielder. Along with his long legs, quick feet, and smooth hands, Hunter has good vision in the infield making great angles on the ball solid defense. He barreled a ball to center to lead off the game and later scored on a triple. Hunter is a player to watch over the next few years.
