Coastal Champ. Scout Notes: Day 1

Collin McGuire (Wilkesboro, NC 2021) plays for the Triad Baseball Academy. With his tall and strong frame, he is a presence at the plate. The uncommitted first baseman had a great start to his tournament when he ripped a double in the left center gap during his first at bat and continued barreling the ball all day long. He has a quick bat and a nice, level swing that can drive power through the ball. McGuire has great hitting tools, a smooth and easy swing, and works the count to get into a hitters count.


With an early 8:30 a.m. start, the 5 Star Carolina 16U Geist had it going all game long! From the top to the bottom of the line-up, hitters sent the ball all over the park. There were a few guys that really stood out and led the team to victory: Kaleb Brigham, Chase Kentner, and Mitchell Kahlenberg got it done on the mound. Zain Dawood had the best day of all between both offense and pitching.
