17U WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2

Kentucky commit and righthander Mason Moore (2021, Morehead, KY) was pretty impressive this morning as the 6-4 arm has some components to work with moving forward. Moore has very broad shoulders and is physically projectable and able to project significant strength being added to the overall build. The delivery features some deception with a longer arm stroke and a stark torso rotation in an effort to hide the ball while the arm speed coming through the circle was enough to be on time on a consistent basis. Moore offers a tough arm slot which allows him to sink the ball to both sides of the plate with some consistency while he also showed both a curveball and a slider. He could land either breaking ball well and tunneled it extremely well with his fastball arm slot to create added deception. The fastball sat mostly 86-88 mph, touching 90 mph a couple of times in the beginning of the game, while the combination showed off the pitchability.
