Florida

Florida annually ranks among the top talent producing states in the country, but the 2020 class is one of the most talented classes ever to move through the Sunshine State. Twelve players were named Perfect Game All-Americans from the class and there are 23 Floridians ranked among the nation’s top 100 seniors in the latest PG class rankings.

Not surprisingly with all that individual talent – which doesn’t even factor in the 2021 or 2022 classes – the highly competitive Florida high school team ranks are also filled with top teams, with 10 Florida high schools represented in the PG Top 50 preseason rankings, including No. 1 overall Tampa Jesuit.

C – Mac Guscette
Guscette is the leader of two of the most successful teams in the country in the nationally ranked Venice High School team and the WWBA World Champion Florida Burn travel team in the summer and fall. A Perfect Game All-American, Guscette hit .351-2-19 for Venice during the spring and over .400 in four of his five WWBA tournaments for the Burn, including .455 with three doubles while being named the Most Valuable Player at the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter. He is signed with Florida.
