JUCO Top 25: April 9 | Top 300 JUCO Prospects

There was a lot of the same this past week in JUCO baseball, as the top kept winning, no one has any clue what's going on in Arizona and there wasn't a lot of room for new additions. Wabash Valley, as expected, continues to roll through the competition in the Midwest. They're still riding that winning streak, now up to 32 games, and all signs continue to point to a potentially dynamic showdown series with John A. Logan in the beginning of May.

Northwest Florida State and Walters State held steady at Nos. 2 and 3 this week, respectively. McLennan dropped a spot to No. 5 after splitting a four-game set with Grayson, a team that was right on the cusp of being in the Top 25 this week. Wallace-Dothan continues to roll and as such climbed to No. 4, their highest ranking to date. John A. Logan dropped a series and as such fell several spots to No. 12. LSU-Eunice moved up one spot to No. 6 while San Joaquin Delta continues their climb back towards the top 5, jumping up to No. 7. Johnson County held steady at No. 8, Central Florida jumped a couple of spots into the top 10 at No. 9, while Southern Nevada, on a bye week, held steady to close out the top 10.

I'd love to sit here and tell you fine readers that I have some sort of insight into who is going to emerge from Arizona, but I simply cannot. It's chaos out there right now. Right now, the current standings in the ACCAC have Cochise on top, with South Mountain, Yavapai, Pima, Arizona Western and Central Arizona bunched up behind them. There really isn't a clearly defined top dog right now, though Cochise has claim to that title at the moment. It's going to be a crazy finish, though we knew that months ago.

DII/DIII/NAIA Rankings Update: April 24
It’s far better to be on a hot streak at the end of the season rather than the beginning of the year. As a result the three teams spotlighted with the latest rankings are in a perfect position for a deep postseason run.

Ryan Gallagher of UC Santa Barbara threw a complete game shutout and leads the Gauchos staff into the Top-25 while Tennessee's Christian Moore went 9-for-15 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI.

Well, here we go folks, we have one month left in the regular season and things continue to get more unpredictable on the national landscape. We are seeing some new clubs making statements out west and non-Power 5s on the east coast continuing to jockey for post-season host consideration.

Things are close as we head into week 10 and with all but one series having a different prediction, this week could really open things up between Cozy and Vin.
