Perfect Game Adds Both Sessions for a Total of Three National Underclass Showcases

For Immediate Release:

Aug. 28, 2007 – Perfect Game announced today that because of the enormous interest shown towards both venues, Perfect Game will add Session 1 in Mesa, AZ, Nov. 3-4 and will add Session 3 in Fort Myers, FL, Jan. 5-6.

“All of us at Perfect Game were really surprised by the total number of votes. We want to thank all who took the time and voted to let us know where you would like us to hold our showcases. We really look forward to being in Arizona and having the opportunity to see the talent that is there. We will continue to hold the Florida Dec. 28-30 Underclass Showcase as we have in the past, plus we will add the third session,” stated Perfect Game Director of Showcases, Jim Arp.

Perfect Game National Underclass Showcases provide great exposure opportunities for talented underclass prospects. The National Underclass Showcase Main Event December 28-30, is the largest individual showcase event that Perfect Game runs. Each year over 500 talented underclassmen from across the country show their skills in front of the Perfect Game scouting staff and a large gathering of scouts. One year there were players from as many as 41 states and 5 countries present. The warm Florida weather in Fort Myers is perfect for families looking for a post-Christmas vacation from northern states and the top level talent from Florida is always out in droves.

Session 1 being held November 3-4 in Mesa, AZ at the Chicago Cubs minor league spring training facility will coincide with the West Uncommitted Showcase and take place before the dead period begins for Division 1 college recruiters. It will be the only PG National Underclass Showcase that Division 1 coaches can attend.

Session 3 at Historic Terry Park in Fort Myers, FL will coincide with the World Showcase January 5-6. The World Showcase attracts masses of professional scouts each year. In the past there have been numerous prospects who were not available to attend the Main Event between holidays. Now those players will have another option in Florida.

Perfect Game thanks everyone who participated and followed the voting. It couldn’t have been much closer.
