Alex Mooring
LHP - 2023 - Durham, NC
Uncommitted
Mooring is a very polished southpaw with three solid pitches in a fastball that topped at 81 mph and has been 84 this summer, a sharp slider and a change up that was probably his best pitch. Nothing he throws is straight and almost everything he throws is a strike.
Brian O'Connell III
C - 2023 - Greensboro, NC
Tampa
O'Connell was one of the best catchers at the showcase but stood out more on the mound. He worked up to 85 mph on his fastball with very good running life and command of the pitch, while also landing a mid-70's slider with good sharpness.
Henry Ferguson
SS - 2024 - Knoxville, TN
East Tenn State
Ferguson dominated the showcase both on defense, where he made at least a half dozen outstanding plays in the middle infield, and at the plate, where he crushed multiple base hits and squared up the ball every at-bat. He has a bright future in the game at the next level.
Braden Burress
SS - 2024 - Snow Hill, NC
East Carolina
Burress is an athletic middle infielder with very good physical tools, including quick feet and a strong arm. He was even 80-83 mph off the mound. But what really stood out was his energy on the field and his enjoyment in playing the game.
Logan Rodriguez
RHP - 2024 - Lewisville, NC
Bluefield State
Rodriguez has a plus athletic body at 6-2/195 and has a nice package of tools. He showed big jump in his right handed bat and was consistently on time in games. He was also 80-83 on the mound with a nice 73 mph slider and filled up the zone with both pitches.
Yuta Shimo
OF - 2024 - McLean, VA
Uncommitted
Shimo was a the fastest player at the event, posting a 6.87 sixty time and showing his speed well in the games. He has a short and quick right handed swing with lots of rotation and makes hard pull line drive contact.
Max Luzarraga
RHP - 2025 - Matthews, NC
Dallas Baptist
Luzarraga has an athletic build and a nice combination of tools and skills on the field. His left handed swing was smooth with good extension through the ball and some pop to left center field. He took the mound and was up to 82 with one of the best breaking balls of the event, a 73 mph hard spinning slider.
Nick Russo
RHP - 2025 - Matthews, NC
Uncommitted
Russo throws from an unusual high front side/over the top arm slot delivery that hides the ball very well and creates tons of deception. He topped out at 85 mph with big downhill angle, with a low 70's change up as his best secondary pitch.
Daniel Sykes
OF - 2025 - Spring Lake, NC
Uncommitted
Sykes has a long and projectable 6-2/170 build that should fill out nicely and showed his overall athleticism on defense and at the plate very well in the games. He was up to 79 mph on the mound with a loose arm action to go with a 71 mph slider.
Meridian Leffew
SS - 2026 - Belmont, NC
Miami
Leffew really stood out on defense in the middle infield, showing smooth actions, plenty of range and a strong throwing arm for his age. He consistently squared up the ball during games and his 6-0/160 build promises more strength and bat speed in the future.
Mason Jones
RHP - 2026 - Wilmington, NC
Uncommitted
Jones has a young and loose 5-11/150 build that projects very well. He was up to 80 mph with nice life and showed the ability to spin a nice slider and land a change up for strikes and will keep improving in all areas.
Oscar Hickey
OF - 2026 - Charlottesville, VA
Uncommitted
Hickey has a nice and projectable 6-2/168 build and some good present tools to develop. He ran a 7.44 sixty, threw 84 mph from the outfield and 79 from the mound and showed nice right handed power at the plate.
Brayden Mottola
RHP - 2026 - Durham, NC
Uncommitted
Mottola has a nice loose arm that projects well and worked comfortably in the 77-80 mph range with good life on his fastball. He also threw a slider and a change up.
Jackson Rosales
OF - 2026 - Charlottesville, VA
Uncommitted
Rosales has an athletic 6-1/180 build that could get really strong with work. He has plenty of present bat speed and juice from the right side, with more to come. He was also 81 mph off the mound.
