2023 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Brayden Mottola is a 2026 RHP/3B/SS with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Durham, NC who attends Voyager Academy. Long and lean young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Has a full loose arm action on the mound, works from the stretch and a high 3/4's arm slot, gets nice extension out front. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with tons of running life, low spin fastball that often dives as well, generally works arm side with his fastball. Change up is a very nice pitch with arm speed, feel and lots of fade. Still developing consistency on a slider, often drops his slot on the pitch. 7.49 runner in the sixty. Plays the middle infield when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a long and lifting rotational swing, gets the ball in the air with gap to gap contact. Nice young pitcher's build and arm to develop. Very good student. Named to the Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
