Brady Hester (2027 OF, Woodstock, GA) put together a good round of batting practice. The switch hitter has the same setup from both sides and showed the ability to get the barrel extended often from both sides. He showed some more pull-side strength in the left-handed swing, hitting balls hard into the right-center gap.
Harrison Milanowski (2028 SS, Dothan, AL) showed a lot to like throughout his round of batting practice. He starts in a wide stance with a simple stride out into contact. He sprayed hard liners back up the middle when in rhythm.
Aaron Best (2027 2B, Marietta, GA) starts in a slightly open stance and showed tons to build onto in the coming years as he adds strength. He has good bat speed for the age and stays balanced throughout. There's a lot here to love from this round.
Briar Persing (2027 RHP, Montgomery, PA) was on the barrel every swing of the round of batting practice. He got extended often and showed off the pull-side strength as he hit multiple balls hard into the gap. Persing stays extremely simple and compact in the load, generating some good bat speed and whip through the zone.
Amari Muhammad (2027 SS, Suwanee, GA) started off the round good as he found the barrel a few times early on and got into a good rhythm as the round went on. He has quiet hands and pulls them through hard, generating good bat speed and loft. The strength off the barrel really stood out in this round.
David Bowman (2027 MIF, Milton, GA) drove the ball to both gaps throughout the round of batting practice. He got extended often, showing advanced barrel skills and tons of strength. It's a physical frame that should continue to see the ball jump with the swing path.
Koy Frier (2027 SS, Wellborn, FL) showcased a lot to like in his round of batting practice. He has a very simple load and repeatable swing mechanics. He hit the ball hard to the pull-side throughout the round as he showed the ability to get the bat head out.
Porter Nelson (2027 RHP, Opp, AL) got into a good rhythm later on in the round and showed a lot to like. The strength was impressive as he hit multiple balls that either one-hopped the wall or hit the ball on a line, showing advanced strength off the barrel for the age.
Matthew Lazarus (2027 SS, Brookhaven, GA) hit the ball to all fields throughout the round. He has medium, even based setup with the hands set high. Simple stride out into contact and got the barrel extended early and often as he hit multiple balls deep to left field.
William Backus (2027 SS, Braselton, GA) was one of the stronger players in the event and it really showed in his round of batting practice. The hands start in a loaded position which makes the path extremely short and repeatable. He drove the ball hard to the pull-side consistently throughout the round.
Clayton Hickey (2027 3B, Green Cove Springs, FL) put on an impressive display in his round. He creates good leverage on the front side and uses it well. The knee lift trigger gives him some rhythm to the cut.
Austin Tamborra (2027 OF, Marietta, GA) was one of the more impressive rounds that we saw throughout the day. He stays super simple in the load and started off the round in good fashion as he hit the ball into the trees on his first swing. It's a super physical profile with advanced skills at the plate.
Stephen Webber (2027 C, Boyd, TX) looked good in his round of BP. He has good bat speed and has a very short barrel path to the ball. The hands start in a good position, getting the barrel into the zone early and driving the ball to both gaps.
Ethan Gilchrist (2027 SS, Raleigh, NC) starts with a wide base and showed the ability to turn the barrel over well. The bat speed stood out and he repeated the bat path well throughout the round. It's a physical build with a lot of power to project on down the road.
Aiden Bilbo (2026 OF, Dunwoody, GA) also stood out in his round. He's a tall, lean player with big power projection as he continues to fill out the frame. He has obvious feel for the barrel and the swing is super simple. He was all over the barrel throughout the round.
