Andrew Slater is a 2027 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends North Paulding. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Solid lean frame with room to fill. Primary first baseman, younger actions but has feel for the position. Made all the plays and delivered accurate throws up to 69 mph from a shorter and efficient arm slot. Pitched as well, comes from the stretch only. Chest high leg lift and loads into the back hip. Lower slot that causes some running action to his fastball at 71 mph. Also threw a curveball at 61 mph. Right-handed hitter, wider base and preset hip hinge. Angled bat to start which forces him to take a longer path to the baseball. Rotates the lower-half well but struggled to sequence with the hands. Cleaning up the overall bat path will be beneficial for him moving forward.
