2-Orange Team Highlights

5/14/2023

Steven Thomas Jr (2027 3B, Schenectady, NY) showcased the ability to generate some backspin and carry on the baseball to the opposite field gap during his 1st plate appearance of the day, roping a triple to RCF. The ’27 prospect has evident speed tool on the base paths and consistently puts himself in positions to score.

Andrew Lamarca (2027 OF, Manhasset, NY) drove a triple into the pull side RCF gap the first opportunity he got at the dish, showcasing strength in the hands with the ability to get the barrel out in front. 

Robert Mascia (2028 C, Commack, NY) smoked a ball to deep CF to get himself on the stat sheet, showcasing effortless bat speed with power potential already present for his age. 

Padraic Bodenstein (2027 LHP, Scottsville, VA) consistently found the good part of the barrel throughout his day, showcasing clear strength in the hands with intent behind the stroke.

Ryan Kloss (2028 1B, Blue Point, NY) repeated the stroke well for multiple knocks to LF on the day, trusting the hands with bat-to-ball skills present. 


1-Grey Team Highlights

5/14/2023

Henry Kasouf (2027 OF, Locust Valley, NY) sent a single back up the middle during his second AB, controlling the barrel well with present bat-to-ball skills. He repeats the stroke well with athleticism in the 6-foot-1, 155 pound frame.

Matthew Fifer (2028 SS, Aston, PA) effectively got the barrel out in front and produced solid contact to the pull side with strength continuing to develop in the 5-foot-4, 115 pound frame. 

Aquiles Hache (2028 1B, New Milford, NJ) was impressive on both sides of the field, collecting multiple hits back up the middle on the offensive end while also covering tons of ground in the OF with reliable glove work. 

Anthony Chirchirillo (2028 RHP, Holbrook, NY) shot a line drive into the opposite field gap for a double during his final AB of the day, keeping the weight back successfully with intent to create leverage in the stroke.


3-Red Team Highlights

5/14/2023

Jadon Krisanda (2027 RHP, Lebanon, NJ) legged out an inside the park HR after smoking a line drive past the centerfielder, showcasing a simple yet effective offensive approach. The 6-foot, 160 pound prospect has plenty of evident athleticism with clear bat speed through the zone.

Julian Martins (2027 SS, Wilmington, MA) worked a clean three innings on the mound, striking out the side in the 1st inning with the ability to generate swing and miss with a FB/CB mix. He has plenty of room to fill out the 5-foot-4, 120 pound frame and physically develop in the future. 

Christos Vangelatos (2027 OF, Syosset, NY) barreled up a double into the pull side gap and followed it up with an opposite field inside the park HR during his final plate appearance of the day, displaying solid weight shift with good extension post contact. 

Mason Miller (2028 C, Wilmington, DE) poked a single the opposite way, finding some grass down the RF line to finish his day up on a positive note. The righty displayed the ability to cover the outer half with contact tool present to all parts of the field.

Jake Lindsey (2027 3B, Monrovia, MD) consistently found himself on base throughout the day, flashing a level line drive stroke at the plate that utilized the pull side of the field. He was a threat to swipe bags and proved to be a spark plug for his squad.


3 - Red vs. 1 - Grey Game Highlights

5/13/2023

Jadon Krisanda (2027 RHP, Lebanon, NJ) struck out five over his three innings of work, allowing just one hit. The 6-foot 160-pound right-hander showed consistent command of his three-pitch mix and ran the heater up to 80 mph. At the plate, Krisanda roped a fastball right back up the middle for a base hit in his first at-bat and singled through the left side later in the game. He displayed plenty of present bat speed along with some power from gap to gap.

Aquiles Hache (2028 1B, New Milford, NJ) showcased impressive bat speed, turning on a fastball and driving it to right field. The left-handed hitter displayed a loose, line drive stroke with some power, primarily to the pull-side.

Alex Demas (2026 3B, Merrick, NY) crushed a heater into the gap in left-center for a stand-up double. The 6-foot 168-pound corner infielder displayed a loose stroke at the plate with impressive bat speed along with some power to the pull-side.

Christos Vangelatos (2027 OF, Syosset, NY) lined a first-pitch fastball to left field for a leadoff single. The 2027 outfielder took an aggressive approach at the plate and showed the ability to create backspin and carry baseballs to all parts of the field.

Jack Therrien (2028 C, Norwell, MA) was efficient in his two innings of relief work, striking out three and allowing just one hit. The 5-foot-10 168-pound right-hander filled up the zone with the fastball, getting ahead in counts on a consistent basis. Therrien also displayed the ability to manipulate shape and speed with the breaking ball.


2 - Orange vs. 3 - Red Game Highlights

Mason Miller (2028 C, Wilmington, DE) displayed an aggressive approach at the plate and employed his quick hands, driving a fastball the other way for a single.

Gavin Long (2027 3B, Shelton, CT) found the gap in right-center for extra bases. The right-handed hitter displayed the ability to carry baseballs into the alleyways and create backspin. Long also made a diving play at shortstop on a ball up the middle and delivered a timely throw.

Matthew Paladino (2027 LHP, Randolph, NJ) drove a fastball the other way for a single. He displayed a loose stroke that works all parts of the field along with a good feel for the barrel.

Jake Lindsey (2027 3B, Monrovia, MD) tossed two scoreless innings of relief work, striking out two and allowing just one hit. He displayed an effortless and efficient operation, consistently getting ahead in counts with the heater. At the plate, Lindsey barreled up a fastball to the right-center gap for a stand-up triple. He displayed a loose, on-plane stroke that offers power from gap to gap.

Jack Affenita (2027 C, Bayport, NY) fired one right back up the middle for a single. He showcased a line drive stroke with the ability to make contact to all parts of the field.

Ryan Napolitano (2027 RHP, Manhasset, NY) ripped a fastball back up the middle for a base hit, driving in the first run of the game for his team. In his second plate appearance, the 5-foot-11 155-pound prospect lofted one into right field for another single. He displayed a good feel for the barrel with plenty of potential for more power.

Padraic Bodenstein (2027 LHP, Scottsville, VA) jumped on a heater early in the count, driving it into the left-center field gap for a base hit. He displayed an aggressive approach at the plate with some present power to the pull-side. Bodenstein also tossed three scoreless innings on the mound, striking out five and running the fastball up to 79 mph. He filled up all parts of the zone with the heater and also flashed a slider in the low-60s for swings and misses.

Stellan Zangari (2027 RHP, Rockville Centre, NY) struck out three batters and gave up just one earned run over three innings of work on the mound. The 6-foot 165-pound right-hander ran the heater up to 80 mph and flashed a curveball in the mid-60s that produced a few swings and misses.

Steven Thomas Jr (2027 3B, Schenectady, NY) turned on a fastball, driving it into left field for a leadoff single. He displayed impressive hand speed at the plate coupled with some present power to the pull-side.

Andrew Lamarca (2027 OF, Manhasset, NY) tossed two innings of relief work on the mound, striking out two batters. The 6-foot 165-pound right-hander displayed a controlled and effective operation, filling up all parts of the zone with his two-pitch mix. The curveball made appearances both early and late in counts and proved to be an efficient secondary pitch. At the plate, Lamarca displayed a good feel for the barrel, lining a single to the right-side.

Xavier Micheli (2028 C, Massapequa Park, NY) lined a single to center and showcased his speed on the basepaths, scoring the first run for his team. He displayed an aggressive approach at the plate, jumping on the first pitch in the zone and barreling it up for a base hit.

Robert Mascia (2028 C, Commack, NY) turned on a first-pitch fastball, ripping it down the left field line for a stand-up double. He keeps the hands inside the baseball, stays on-plane and turns explosively through contact.

Batting Practice Highlights

5/13/2023

Jadon Krisanda (2027 RHP, Lebanon, NJ) was impressive with his ability to consistently find the barrel throughout his round. The athletic right-handed hitter showed plenty of present bat speed, creates leverage out in-front and used the entire field exceptionally well. He flashed power projection from gap-to-gap and will only continue to expand his overall hit/power tool with additional physical maturity. 

Robert Mascia (2028 C, Commack, NY) stayed consistent throughout his round, scorching several line drives to all fields. He stays direct with hands and delivers the barrel with compact bat speed. His advanced approach stands out with his ability to stay on the barrel regularly. 

Jadiel Baez (2028 OF, Bronx, NY) showed off his physicality during his round, as the 2028 right-handed hitter impacted the baseball with authority to the middle and pullside of the field. He implores his strong lower half exceptionally well to create torque and has some feel for the barrel. 

Jake Lindsey (2027 3B, Monrovia, MD) displayed plenty of things to like throughout his round with his combination of feel for the barrel and strength at impact. He swings with intent, generates easy whip to his barrel and showcased some of the better power projection of the day. 

Alex Demas (2026 3B, Merrick, NY) showcased a loose, leveraged stroke with plenty of bat speed. He connected for several loud line drives throughout his round and displayed power potential as he continues to refine his stroke. 

Christos Vangelatos (2027 OF, Syosset, NY) used his quick hands to deliver the barrel with authority consistently during his round. He stays compact with his hands, uses the whole field well and projects for more power as he matures. 

Stellan Zangari (2027 RHP, Rockville Centre, NY) found the barrel quite often throughout his round. He implores a fairly direct stroke with plenty of present bat speed and good handle for the barrel. He worked the middle-of-the field effortlessly and will continue to expand his overall hit/power tool with additional strength.
