Enmanuel Acevedo, RHP, Class of 2027
Commitment: University of Virginia

Acevedo made his pact to the Cavaliers this past week, as they continue to tap into the Northeast for high-end prospects that will make immediate an impact once on campus. The physical, sturdy built right-hander runs it into the mid-90s fairly easy with a some run & ride that misses bats in the zone. He pairs it well with a tight-spinning slider that generates tons of swings-and-misses and completes his repertoire with a developing change up. The arm strength is undeniable along with the vast amount of projection that still remains, this will be an extremely fun one to watch into the Spring and beyond should he make it to campus.




Dannyel Almanzar, INF, Class of 2026 Commitment: UNC-Charlotte

Almanzar brings an immensely talented set of tools to the table that should allow for him to make an impact on both sides of the ball upon getting to campus. He can handle all three infield positions on the dirt with agility, smoothness and arm strength to make every throw. At the plate, he has run producing traits with pole-to-pole juice that should play well within the lineup. Look for him to continue evolving his game as he matures physically and continues to refine his game. 


Cole Bowman, C, Class of 2027
Commitment: Virgina Tech

The switch-hitting backstop becomes the seventh commit of the 2027 Class for the Hokies to be ranked inside the Top 500. It is an intriguing blend of athleticism and power for the North Carolina native, as he brings sound defensive skills that incorporate both the aforementioned athleticism and power to thwart the running game well. However, it is the long-term power potential from both sides of the plate that enticed the Tech coaching staff, as he creates natural lift and impacts the baseball with authority to all fields. The combination of athleticism, power and defensive prowess make this one a potential cornerstone for Coach Szefc within this recruiting class.

Shawn Sullivan, RHP/UTL, Class of 2026
Commitment: Tennessee

Shawn Sullivan (Barberton, OH) shook up the recruiting landscape over the weekend, flipping his commitment from Alabama to Tennessee. The 6-foot right-hander features athleticism while displaying two-way ability and upside. Sullivan works from an over-the-face handset on the mound, working into a higher pronounced leg life before firing down the mound via a quick arm action and high three-quarters slot. The Ohio native starts his arsenal with a lively heater that jumps from the hand and has seen the upper-90s. He mixes in a sharp 11-5 curveball with late downward bite, while flashing a short slider and change-up with killed spin. Sullivan has produced exit velocities up to 96, working from a simple right-handed operation.
 

Henkel Acevedo, OF, Class of 2026
Commitment: West Virginia

Henkel Acevedo (Lawrence, MA) pledged his name to Morgantown, landing the Mountaineers a talented and projectable outfielder. Acevedo features present strength and length in a 6-foot-4 frame, starting even and upright from the left side. He keeps his hands high behind the ear, working into a simple inward leg load. The P27 Academy product fires through a quick barrel with all fields impact, producing exit velocities up to 108. Acevedo will likely man a corner at the next level, recording throws from the grass up to 90 mph, while keeping his sixty around 6.93.

Parker Leoff, SS, Class of 2027
Commitment: UCLA

Parker Leoff (Redondo Beach, CA) announced his commitment to John Savage and UCLA, as the Bruins add a dynamic middle infielder. A 5-foot-11 left-handed swinger, Leoff starts wide at the base, keeping the hands high and disconnected from the body. He works to a quick and compact barrel via an inward toe-tap leg load. The California native sprays line drive impact all over the field, showcasing a table-setting skillset. UCLA looks to continue their Southern California development pipeline that has produced the likes of Roman Martin, Duce Gourson, and Cody Schrier, among others.

Tanner Stroup, LHP/OF, Class of 2026
Commitment: Marshall

Tanner Stroup (Altoona, PA) stays in the state of West Virginia, flipping his commitment from the Mountaineers to the Thundering Herd. The Pennsylvania native features two-way upside and ability, showcasing quickness with sixty times as low as 6.56. Stroup possesses a lengthy and projectable 6-foot-3 frame with present strength in the lower half. He starts at the belt and closed at the base, working into a direct leg lift and shorter arm action with a high three-quarters slot. Stroup has worked his fastball up to 91 with cutting action, mixing in a tight slider to keep hitters off balance. He has produced exit velocities up to 93, using a simple operation from the right side.

Veer Patel, 3B/1B, Class of 2026
Commitment: Mercer

Mercer grabbed one of the better in-state talents left in Patel, who comes equipped with offensive upside from a lefty bat. He raked on the circuit for us this year, hitting an eye opening six homers and 13 doubles. There’s present feel to hit with pull and juice and more to fill out in a wiry frame, and more than capable of handling a corner spot at the next level. 

Jacsen Tucker, SS/3B, Class of 2027
Commitment: Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State hits the trail hard, and it continues in its 2027 class with Tucker who has big tools across the board. He’s a good athlete with a slick glove fit for the left side and all-fields contact. The body really projects and should grow into more than usable in-game power, as he’s already shown an ability to get the head out in space and impact it. The upside is larger with Tucker. 

Kayden Mansell, RHP, Class of 2026
Commitment: Blinn College

Big time in-state JUCO grab here as Mansell is a quality athlete with a solid frame and arm strength. The fastball is a heavier upper-80s offering that snuck into the low-90s this summer, but the feel to pitch stands out. He has two breaking balls, and the slider too massive strides in its shape and intent with the makings of a output pitch come next year. Mansell has a good blend of ingredients going forward. 

Hudson Tuley, LHP, Class of 2026
Commitment: McLennan CC

Another in-state JUCO commit that can really pop once it all comes together. At 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds, Tuley can flat out deal with a present three-pitch mix. The fastball works north to south at 87-90 mph with a sharp top-bottom breaking ball and straight change. It’s a clean release with a higher look in the making as he matures, and everything plays.

Dominic Santarelli, OF, Class of 2026
Commitment: Louisiana State

Not only did Santarelli's commitment flip from Louisville to Louisiana State give the Tigers a potential middle of the threat capable to multi-home run seasons in the SEC the moment he steps on campus, he also bumped the team up to the top spot in the rankings, in regard to overall class rank. A potent left-handed stick out of Wisconsin and current top 50 talent in the country, Santarelli continued to impact baseballs to all parts of the field this summer, just as we had seen him first do at the 14u WWBA a few years back. There's as much juice, if not more, than you'd expect given his 6-foot-2, 230 pound frame and the addition of Santarelli gave Jay Johnson his 6th commit within the top 50 and 11th within the top 100, building a truly remarkable class in Baton Rouge.

Maceo White, SS, Class of 2027
Commitment: Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt has always done an excellent job dipping into Georgia to grab some of the top talent in the state and do so yet again with a dynamic profile in the Atlanta product. He was a notable riser in the latest ’27 update and for good reason as he’s one of the better pure athletes in the state in that class. He’s already a plus runner and gets to top speed quickly. It’s a wiry 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame with high end physical projection and has already started tapping into the power upside in 2025, hitting four HR’s on the circuit. There’s just a lot of boxes that White checks off as a young prospect and is a major get for Vanderbilt in their 2027 class. 


Dyson Grant, C, Class of 2027
Commitment: Oregon State

Grant was one of my favorite watches a year ago at WWBA, winning the MVP at 15u. All he did over the next calendar year was hit and is a major get out of California for Oregon State, a program that has always done an excellent job of recruiting in that area. He’s a physically imposing backstop at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds that can just simply impact the baseball. There’s hitterish traits present here and the strength has always shown up. He’s a great leader behind the dish too with plenty of reasons to believe he could stick back there long term. Grant will be a name that Beaver nation gets excited about stepping on campus and is a power bat to follow in California. 


Gavin McMillan, RHP, Class of 2027
Commitment: Ole Miss

Ole Miss has landed top end talent from across the nation in their ’27 group and that’s no different as they dip into California to grab one of the more projectable arms in the class. You don’t really stumble upon many 6-foot-10 right-handers with body control and that’s exactly what McMillan is. The stuff is already great, working in the 90-92 range in Jupiter a month ago with three pitches for strikes. As with many tall and lean arms, it’s easy to see the stuff jumping in the future but there’s not many arms that have the type of projection that McMillan does. The ceiling is hard to imagine as he continues to add strength in the coming years. He’s pushing the T100 in the class for a reason and is a great get for the Rebels in their ’27 crop. 


Brandon Brannon, OF, Class of 2027
Commitment: Houston

Brannon was one of my personal favorites over the summer months playing with 5 Star National. He’s a dynamic athlete at 5-foot-8, 170-pounds with plenty of twitch throughout the profile. There are good tools that litter the profile here for Brannon, but the more impressive thing is that he performed over a large sample size in 2025. He hit .329 over 85 AB’s and hit three homers, showing off strength to the middle of the field. He runs well and has the ability to stick in center on the defensive side of things and was a major get for the Cougars as they continue to stack talent on the recruiting trail.

Hitter of the Year: Landon Bonner The 2028 class saw many players from across the country take the next step in their development as they entered the High School ranks. There were huge performances from highly ranked players on the PG circuit as well as some under-the-radar guys who burst onto the scene. Landon Bonner came into Sophomore National as a Top 500 ranked player and after an impressive showing, left with all eyes on him as a rankings riser in the class. The left-handed hitting shortstop from The Colony, Texas, had a summer to remember with All-Tournament Team selections in three of his next four events culminating with a historic performance at the 2025 PG 15U WWBA National Championship. Hitter of the Year: Koa Romero is the Hitter of the Year for the 16u group, as he would come to every premier event of the summer and earn All-Tournament honors (Beast of the East, 16/17u WWBA, Jupiter) in every single one. Over 82 plate appearances, Romero would pump ten homeruns with forty two RBI and sixteen walks, good for a .378 average and 1.339 OPS. The performance on volume at the best events of the year pushed Romero over the edge here, as he’d hit a pair of homeruns in Jupiter (one of them at 112 EV) as an underclassmen and collect double digit hits in BOTH WWBA events with a combined six jacks over the two tournaments. It was a summer that combined performance and winning on the biggest stages for Romero. It’s a quiet left-handed swing that packs a punch. Best Game I Saw: The Dream NTL 18U vs. MBA Scout Team Murphy Jupiter always brings out the best, and we got fireworks from the jump. Turner Marshall gave The Dream an outstanding 4+ innings of work on the mound, holding a lethal MBA team at bay with Chance Dixon, Derrick Carter, and Ellis Appling providing an offensive spark out of the gate for the Georgia based boys. However, it was only a matter of time before the talent on the other side got going, as MBA erased a 3-run deficit in the 5th to take a 4-3 lead led by a Parker Loew HR. The Dream then took command again in the Top of the 6th, before MBA punched right back with a huge 5-run inning in the bottom half capped off by a clutch RBI single from Matthew Kerrigan, ending a wild sequence with tons of notable performances from two very competitive rosters. Nebraska Cornhuskers 2025 Highlights: The Cornhuskers were a difficult team to figure in ’25 as they finished with 33 wins, played just .500 (15-15) in the Big Ten but had some big wins at various times during the season and got hot at the right time. They knocked off then #16 Vanderbilt in the second game of the year, beat #5 Oregon State 2-out-of-3 at home in late March and then got hot at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha to win the Big Ten Tournament. They beat Michigan State in a 10-inning thriller before taking care of #4 Oregon, knocking off Penn State and then shutout #13 UCLA to punch their ticket to the Chapel Hill Regional. Kicking off the holiday season, six teams participated in this one day, 3 game guarantee tournament in the 18u Division. We would like to thank those that donated a toy, and know that they will be distributed to area underprivileged children through a local charity organization. Following are some of the top performers from the weekend. Earning Tournament MV-Pitcher was Jolee Strohmeyer (2026 Dubuque, IA), a RHP/UTIL with tournament champion Lady Expos Blue. Strohmeyer shows hitters a consistent and repeatable motion and delivery with good use of the legs in the drive phase, and a quick and aggressive arm whip.
