Most Likely To Make a Huge Jump in the Rankings in 2024: 

Garrett Snyder, RHP, Unionville, CT  

Snyder has plenty to dream as the hulking 6-foot-5, 240-pound right-hander should only continue to add more velocity. It is a clean, repeatable delivery with downhill plane to the bottom of the zone. He pairs it well with a slider that has flashed hammer traits. With more velocity coming, look for Snyder to steadily rise the ranks and gets into the low-90s. -John McAdams 

Braeden Martin, INF/OF, Columbia, MD 

Martin offers exciting athleticism with potential game changing speed and a excellent feel for the barrel. He will assuredly continue to add strength to his 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame, which will only expand his already enticing skill set and allow him to make jumps within the rankings. -JMC 



William Kirk, LHP, Ramsey, NJ 

Kirk already checks a ton of boxes from a scouting perspective and is already ranked inside the Top 200 for the Class of 2024 but it is the expected velocity jump that could sky-rocket the Virginia commit into the upper-crust of prep left-handers come the spring. The ease of operation coupled with physical upside bode well for additional strength and the expected velocity jump. -JMC 


Nicholas Frusco (2025), LHP, Body Armor Titans 2025s

Already at a more than respectable #186 in the nation including the #1 LHP in NY for 2025, you may be wondering why Frusco is under this category. To put it simply, the ceiling here is nowhere near filled out yet and the super projectable 6-foot-4, 190 pound lefty could have just as easily been placed under the “most likely to throw mid 90’s” category. It doesn’t take long to realize the pure arm talent on display here with deception to the delivery and whip to the arm action. He mixes a sweeping breaker for strikes and arguably has one of the better swing and miss arsenals in the class, striking out 13, 13, and 10 in his last three appearances. -AJ Denny

Michael Marchese (2025), OF, RCBC Ghost 17U Nationals
Marchese has consistently been picking up more and more attention in recent months thanks to a .354 BA in 2023 while also being 89 mph from the OF. The athletic 5-foot-11, 175 pound prospect has a plus speed tool on both sides of the field, posting a 6.69 sixty time that reveals itself both when covering ground defensively and on the base paths. Though a primary OF, Marchese can be utilized in multiple ways and has a variety of natural tools at his disposal. He generates constant line drive impact to both gaps offensively with power starting to come into the picture. -AD

Vincent Lombardo (OF, Trumbull, Conn.) possesses one of the more consistent barrels in the 2026 class tagged with sneaky power that allows him to drive the baseball into both alleyways. At an athletic 6-foot 185-pounds, the Huskies commit has a large box of tools and is only getting stronger as he prepares for his sophomore season in the spring. The bat gets to the ball in a hurry where it jumps off the sweet spot more often than not. Lombardo batted .396 with 10 extra-base hits over the course of 16 games, including two long balls.The speedy outfielder ranks no. 5 in the state of Connecticut but will certainly see a jump on the National big board if he continues to perform at such a high level. -Anthony Gambardella

Shaun Flannery (RHP/1B, Wallingford, Conn.) is one of the most consistent two-way performers in the New England region and brings a lot to the table for a 2026 prospect. The 6-foot-1 183-pound right-hander is up to 87 mph on the mound and pairs his sinking fastball with an 11-5 breaker that shows spin up to 2400 rpm. He’s a smooth mover down the slope and misses a ton of barrels with his mix. Flannery has proved to be just as serviceable with the bat, finishing the summer with a .463 average as well as 17 RBI through 17 games this summer. He has shown the ability to hit for both contact and power while finding his way on base at a 56% rate. The Huskies commit offers intriguing upside on both sides of the ball and in all likelihood, he'll be making a big jump in the rankings next year. -AG


Jacob Fields (C/3B, Norwalk, Conn.) has been making noise with the bat for a while now and is expected to make a big jump in the rankings over the course of the next year. He has big-time power for someone that won’t be turning 16 until the end of spring. He wears a 5-foot-11 170-pound frame with room and time to add more strength. Paired with a lethal bat is impressive plate discipline and patience in the box. Fields also has a strong arm behind the dish and this past summer, he recorded a pop time of 1.98. There’s a lot to like about the 2026 catcher so don’t be surprised if he continues to climb his way up the rankings throughout the year. -AG


Most Likely To Hit .500 at PG Events in 2024: 

Mateo Noto, MIF, Brooklyn, NY  

Noto has an innate ability to consistently find the barrel, while his pitch recognition and discipline allow him to wait for his pitch. The sweet left-handed stroke is primed for high average, as he uses the entire field and hits with two strikes. The 2025 Indiana commit hit .429 in ’23 and looks poised to continue raking moving forward. -JMC 

Cj Alfano (2026), 1B/OF, Body Armor Titans 2026 Quattrini

Alfano is a no-brainer choice here, as he’s almost achieved this feat the past three years with BA over .470 in two of the three seasons. As the average would suggest, the 6-foot, 175 pound lefty is an on base machine, effortlessly generating impact to all parts of the field with easy hand speed through the zone. He stays balanced through impact and covers the plate well with present barrel control and quiet repeatable movements overall. -AD

Hunter Strohm (2026) C, Keystone State Bombers

After posting a .563 BA in 2023, the Virginia commit is poised to have another huge season in 2024 with all the makings of a top level offensive prospect. With the ability to hit for both contact and power, Strohm is a luxury to have at the top of any order. He displays a direct bat path through the zone and stays inside the baseball with present backspin/carry production. With 3 HR’s in limited PA this Summer, expect the 6-foot-1, 195 pound righty to only add to the damage he can do at the plate in 2024 with the batting average remaining a constant. -AD

Julius Rosado (3B/SS, South River, N.J.) had a dominant summer at the plate, finishing with a slash line of .438/.526/1.250 to go along with seven home runs and 16 RBI through 12 games. He has a potent and consistent bat with the ability to leave the yard at any time. At 6-foot 190-pounds, Rosado presents a durable frame with a good blend of strength and athleticism throughout. In the box, he keeps the operation simple and takes a direct path to the ball while creating tons of strength at impact. He’s a big time bat that finds his way on base at a very high rate and has a good chance to hit .500 at PG events next year. -AG


Jordan Burwell (1B/LHP, Pompton Lakes, N.J.) played in 19 PG games this year and finished with a .432 batting average along with 17 RBI. He offers tons of intrigue at an athletic 6-foot-1 200 pounds. He has tons of quickness in the hips and hands, and gets the bat to the ball in a hurry. The West Virginia commit finds the barrel on a consistent basis and has serious power to the pull-side. Burwell has very advanced barrel skills for his age and is likely to post an average close to or higher than .500 next year. -AG

 
Most Likely To Make a Velo Jump Into the Mid-90s in 2024: 

Chris Levonas, RHP, Holmdel, NJ 

Levonas could fit into a couple of our superlative categories, as he possesses true outlier traits both mechanically and metrics wise but we will go with this one. He is an athletic mover with unicorn flexibility and mobility within his lower half movements down the slope. Couple that with electric arm speed that has already peaked at 93 mph, look for the 2024 Wake Forest commit to add a couple more ticks into the mid-90s this upcoming spring. -JMC 

Alex Weingartner, RHP/MIF, Berlin, NJ 

The young right-hander has made ridiculous velocity jumps over the past calendar year alone, peaking at 92 mph this past September. That’s a fourteen mile per hour jump in a year’s time frame. The arm stroke is loose and quick, while he stands to continue adding more strength to his frame. If the past year is any indication of what is to come, Weingartner will simply continue his climb up the velocity ladder into the mid-90s. -JMC 

Evan Taylor, RHP/UTL, Ocean City, NJ 

Taylor is an uber-athlete with tons of quick twitch fibers and plenty of room to add strength. He is an elite rotator and possesses some of the most pure arm speed in the country. Adding a few ticks to his fastball seems almost a certainty as he continues to physically mature. -JMC  


Nathan Wines (2025), RHP, Richmond Braves 18U Platinum

There’s no arguing that Wines has a big time FB that has already been up to 94 mph in PG events, but signs point to even more possibly in the tank. Standing at a still projectable 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, the righty is so low effort on the mound with such ease to the operation that a consistent low/mid 90s FB isn’t out of the question for 2024, and might even be likely. The arm speed on display here is simply electric with the ball jumping out of the hand from a clean ¾ slot, making 90-91 appear to be mid 90s already anyway. The SL in the arsenal flashes late horizontal tilt and can be thrown in any count, only adding to the value of the FB. Wines has steadily risen in the rankings and there’s no reason to think he’s finished yet. -AD

Dylan Hansen (2024), RHP, Canes National 17U/Keystone State Bombers

Another name who’s shown he’s more than capable of running it up to 92-93 mph already, Hansen has seen the velocity steadily climb over the past year or so and the trend is likely to continue. Standing at a strong and athletic 6-foot-3, 205 pound frame, the thing that makes the ‘24 righty unique from other arms in the class is the natural movement he’s able to generate on his pitches, creating evident run on the FB from a ¾ slot. He can manipulate shape/size of a CB/SL pairing in the arsenal and is a complete + refined prospect that is aiming to make an instant impact at Coastal after what should be a big 2024 HS campaign.

Gavin Lyons (RHP/1B, Guilford, Conn.) has seen a jump of 13 mph in the last two years and recently topped the fastball out at 94 mph. The heater typically sits in the upper-80s to low-90s range. He has plus command of it along with the frame to add a few more ticks by next summer. At 6-foot-2 195 pounds, Lyons makes for a smooth and efficient mover on the mound. The Longhorns commit has been fun to watch this past summer and will certainly see a continued increase in velocity next summer. -AG

Asher DeLue (LHP/1B, Princeton, N.J.) wears an uber-projectable 6-foot-3 185-pound frame with plenty of room to add muscle throughout the off-season. He recently topped the fastball out at 85 mph and is expected to inch closer to that 90 mark within the next year. At just 15 and 5 months, DeLue offers tons of intrigue as a left-hander and will be worth keeping an eye on over the next few summers. -AG

 
Most Likely To Back Up a Breakout in 2023: 

Guy Lynam, 3B/RHP, Gloucester City, NJ 

Lynam has been a steady performer at the plate for some time so it may not be considered a breakout persay but the nearly seven mile per hour velocity jump since October of 2022 has solidified the 2026 New Jersey native as a high-level two-way talent moving forward. He ran it up to 90 mph as recently as this past September and pairs it with a high spin breaker that misses bats. He will only continue to evolve his game by adding more strength, while adding more power at the plate and even more velocity on the bump. -JMC 

Gabe Lucca (2027), SS/RHP, RCBC Ghost 14U Nationals

Lucca continues to impress and stand out in the 2027 class, making his latest appearance at 14U All State for East Coast where he finished with a .462 BA, bringing his overall average up to .465 in 2023 while also providing value defensively both at SS and on the mound. Lucca is a natural athlete and that clearly shows in his performance, slowing down the game which is rare for his age while making plays with fluidity and relative ease. Pair the offensive numbers with an arm that has been up to 81 mph on the mound and you have a bright future for a kid who just turned 14. -AD

Michael Hanna (OF/1B, Oradell, N.J.) has put together multiple breakout years but with each one, he continues to back it up with the bat and progress as an overall athlete. The 6-foot 165-pound left-handed batter has plenty of room to add muscle to his frame over the course of the winter while improving his already impressive power tool. He batted .333 with eight extra-base hits and 21 RBI over the course of 22 games and struck out just four times. The Virginia commit finds the outfield gaps at a high rate and has proven to be a tough out for opposing pitchers. Don’t be surprised if Hanna puts up even bigger numbers in 2024. -AG

Jadon Krisanda (RHP/MIF, Annandale, N.J.) has put himself on the map over the past 365 days, finishing the summer with a .400 average and .539 on-base percentage. He wears a lean athletic 6-foot frame with developing strength proportioned throughout and has proven to be a very reliable bat at the top of any order. Krisanda put forth impressive multi-hit performances weekend after weekend this summer. Expect him to back up this breakout year with another dominant summer in 2024. -AG

 
Most Likely To Lead the Region in Home Runs in 2024: 

Chase Harlan, 3B, Doylestown, PA 

Harlan could fit into a multitude of categories within this article but we will go with this one, as the physical third baseman looks primed to continue showcasing immense power potential. The 2024 Clemson commit is an absolute toolshed with athleticism and quick twitch. He has made refinements to incorporate more lift to the swing and would not be surprised to see him find himself with double digits homers in 2024. -JMC 


Jason Fultz (2025), 3B, Team Northeast/5 Star National
You don’t have to be a baseball guy to know Fultz has some serious juice potential to him, as just one look at the 6-foot-2, 205 pound all muscle frame is a dead giveaway that the righty can hit the ball hard and far. Fultz displays unmatched strength in the hands with dangerous hip torque and lift to the stroke while still remaining balanced and in control of the body, a reason why he’s ranked the #1 overall player in PA. -AD

Gabriel Tirado (2024), C, South Charlotte Panthers 2024 Marucci
Don’t be fooled by the lack of HR’s on the stat sheet in ‘23, Tirado’s power potential is the real deal. If for some reason you have doubts, take a look at the jaw dropping round of BP put on display by the 5-foot-9, 205 pound left handed hitter at PG National where Tirado put multiple balls into the bleachers with ease. The ball simply jumps off the barrel for the ‘24 UConn commit with tons of strength from the lower half present. Pitchers be advised: don’t leave anything over the middle for the man or you’ll be waiting awhile for it to come down. -AD

Ryan Costello (1B/OF, Howell, N.J.) has caught the attention of a lot of eyes over the past year. He fits the requirements for a few of these categories, but it makes the most sense to put him in the running for most long balls in 2024. The 6-foot-3 190-pound left-handed batter has put his power on display in every batter’s box he stepped foot in this summer. He has tons of strength in the hands and will continue to progress as a power hitter over time. Although he put just five baseballs over the fence in 2023, expect a breakout year from the lefty slugger in 2024. -AG

MVPitcher: Duncan McLeod The uncommitted junior toed the slab in three of the four games for Team Mick, tossing 3 2/3 innings.  Zero walks, zero hits and 6 punchouts for the lefty who was used both as a starter in the series clinching game 4 and he closed out game 3 on Friday in quick fashion.  McLeod was very efficient as well, needing just 42 pitches over all his outings.  In the game 4 start, over two innings he punched out 3, with one strikeout with all of his offerings.  The mid 80’s fastball regularly played up, set up with efficient use of the secondaries, with the breaking ball 73/74 and fading change-up 72-74.   Owen Bone (2026) at it again... What a year it was in 2025 on the national landscape at the 13u level as Perfect Game continues to expand its reach around the country, providing an even bigger schedule of events coast-to-coast which has allowed players all over show out and gain their deserved recognition. Whether in Texas for the Houston 1000 or the 13u WWBA in West Palm Beach, we saw huge, eye opening performances from the players placed below, knowing that we could EASILY build a third team and likely a fourth without much effort.  As we do every year with this exercise, it's worth pointing out the trickiness of this age group and putting the teams together with the 13u group. Player of the Year: Asher Williams It was an incredible year for Williams that was rewarded with a trip to the 14U Select Fest, before some more impressive play in the fall. He came to the plate almost 250 times in PG tournaments throughout 2025 and reached base in well over half of them, hitting to a .500 AVG while slugging a 14U circuit best 12 bombs and driving in 113 runs. The numbers on the surface are ridiculous, but when you look at the high-level events he put them up in, it makes it even more impressive. Pitcher of the Year: Tristan Blalock Blalock earns this honor after a dominant 2025 where he struck out 85 batters in just 48.2 innings of work with a minuscule 1.58 ERA. Hitter of the Year: Landon Bonner The 2028 class saw many players from across the country take the next step in their development as they entered the High School ranks. There were huge performances from highly ranked players on the PG circuit as well as some under-the-radar guys who burst onto the scene. Landon Bonner came into Sophomore National as a Top 500 ranked player and after an impressive showing, left with all eyes on him as a rankings riser in the class. The left-handed hitting shortstop from The Colony, Texas, had a summer to remember with All-Tournament Team selections in three of his next four events culminating with a historic performance at the 2025 PG 15U WWBA National Championship. Hitter of the Year: Koa Romero is the Hitter of the Year for the 16u group, as he would come to every premier event of the summer and earn All-Tournament honors (Beast of the East, 16/17u WWBA, Jupiter) in every single one. Over 82 plate appearances, Romero would pump ten homeruns with forty two RBI and sixteen walks, good for a .378 average and 1.339 OPS. The performance on volume at the best events of the year pushed Romero over the edge here, as he’d hit a pair of homeruns in Jupiter (one of them at 112 EV) as an underclassmen and collect double digit hits in BOTH WWBA events with a combined six jacks over the two tournaments. It was a summer that combined performance and winning on the biggest stages for Romero. It’s a quiet left-handed swing that packs a punch. Best Game I Saw: The Dream NTL 18U vs. MBA Scout Team Murphy Jupiter always brings out the best, and we got fireworks from the jump. Turner Marshall gave The Dream an outstanding 4+ innings of work on the mound, holding a lethal MBA team at bay with Chance Dixon, Derrick Carter, and Ellis Appling providing an offensive spark out of the gate for the Georgia based boys. However, it was only a matter of time before the talent on the other side got going, as MBA erased a 3-run deficit in the 5th to take a 4-3 lead led by a Parker Loew HR. The Dream then took command again in the Top of the 6th, before MBA punched right back with a huge 5-run inning in the bottom half capped off by a clutch RBI single from Matthew Kerrigan, ending a wild sequence with tons of notable performances from two very competitive rosters.
