Joshua Esquibel (2018 1B, Jamul, CA) took probably the best BP of the day, showing lots of right handed bat speed and power and not exerting much effort to do it. He was polished and mature in his BP approach, like it was something he did every day.
Carlos CJ Rodriguez (2019 C, Whittier, CA) has a strong and thick catcher's build but a loose and easy swing that produces lots of bat speed. The ball jumps off the barrel hard.
Sean Power (2018 OF, Thousand Oaks, CA) has good strength in his 6-1/175 frame and swings hard to create nice bat speed. He can extend more through contact but hit the ball hard and repeated his mechanics well.
Chaison Miklich (2018 1B, Las Vegas, NV) will have to be careful not to get too big as he grows older but he has big strength in his right handed swing and attacks the ball the way you want to see a young power hitter do.
Loren Franck (2018 3B, Sherman Oaks, CA) has a calm and loose swing with bat speed driven by his big 6-2/200 frame. He showed plenty of pop and should continue to improve.
Gavin Grant (2018 SS, Puyallup, WA) has a very easy and sound swing approach and keeps everything simple and repeatable. He's going to be a very high average hitter as he continues to develop as a player.
Nate Lau (2018 OF, Pleasanton, CA) hits from a very spread stance but does a nice job of getting his weight back and shifted forward, creating bat speed and hitting through the ball with good extension out front.
Nico Vigil (2019 3B, Phoenix, AZ) is another hitter with a similar big spread stance to start from but who shifts well and creates strength and leverage in his swing. He back spins the ball and creates lots of carry.
Cameron Repetti (2019 SS, Cypress, CA) has a very projectable 6-2/175 build and athletic actions. He has a big aggressive shift into contact with a deep hand load and a fast swing with lots of power potential.
Kevin Sim (2020 3B, San Diego, CA) is only a 2020 but he's already 6-1/190 with an athletic and coordinated swing and very good bat speed for his age.
Lachlan Scott (2019 OF, Irvine, CA) is a young 5-11/160 but has very quick hands and a simple approach that gets the barrel behind the ball for a long time. When the strength kicks in to help the quickness, good things will happen.
Emanuel Dean (2019 OF, Corona, CA) has a very strong 6-2/200 build for a 2019 and a low effort and easy swing with lots of bat speed. He finally let the barrel go on the last swing and hit a long home run after line drive after line drive previously.
Artie Ramirez (2019 C, Walnut, CA) has a very nice swing, with good lower half drive to the ball and a direct hand path that produced line drive after line drive to left center field.
Jesse Garcia (2018 1B, El Cajon, CA) has a XXL barrel chested build at 6-2/245 that would look more at home on a football lineman but his swing is notably short and loose and the power very obvious.
