Anaiscio "Pepe" Ortiz is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Richmond Hill HS. Recorded a 6.94 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic frame and build with room to fill out and add strength. Primary left-handed pitcher. Side step into a big leg lift above the belt. Full arm swing through an over the top arm slot with quality arm speed. Generates good whip and works downhill with the fastball. Breaking ball is very good with top-to-bottom shape and 12/6 break with spin north of 2500+ rpm. Significant vertical drop to the breaking ball. Flashed a changeup in the upper-70s too. Arm strength showed from secondary positions of outfield and first base. Left-handed hitter with a wide base and lower hand set to start. Can use both halves of the field and was at his best getting extended out in front of the plate. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
