2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 6)
Andrew Rye is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Lexington, SC who attends River Bluff. Compact frame with more strength gains in store as the body physically develops. Primary outfielder, charges and shows promising arm strength from an over the top arm action. Gets out front and squares well with some solid actions on the grass. Good confidence, has a plan and executes. Right-handed hitter, starts from a spread open stance with a high hand set and high back elbow. Hanging leg kick in load. Ability to find the barrel, keeps the hands inside and gets deep. Showed hard liners to the pull side with quick hands through the path. Stays inside well and lets the hands really work. Lots to like with the bat going forward. Present two-way with developing tools as the body fills out. Very good student.
