2023 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Jaim Jorfredo Ferreira is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends B you academy. Compact athletic frame with some lean muscle and a tremendous amount of time to add size and physicality. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.86 seconds. Primary position RHP, showing loose athletic arm action and accelerating through a standard 3/4 arm angle. Integrates lower half well to create energy and translates well through the core to release. Fast ball up to 76 mph with some life and occasional sink at the plate. Curve ball with 10-4 shape with emerging overall development and consistency. Performed well in game, punching out 4 batters in 3.0 IP. Secondary outfielder, with methodic footwork but move well into his angles. Works the glove off to the side and transfers into high 3/4 arm angle. Quick arm building throws up to 79 mph back to the infield. Right handed hitter, working from an open base with simple, repeatable mechanics and working the middle of the field with his approach. A bit of length in his path to impact but does repeat well and get to the barrel. Outstanding student as well.
