Dariel Carrion is a 2027 C/1B with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Strong and compact prototypical catcher's build. 6.94 runner in the sixty. Sets up in a straight stance behind the plate, quick out of his crouch, effortless plus arm strength, very good fundamental footwork and direction on his throws, showed pocket awareness receiving, has all the tools and skills you'd want to see on a young receiver. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide stance, swings hard and creates extension through contact, hard pull side contact, stays behind the ball well, very consistent in his timing and barrel control. Good student.
