Carter Macanas is a 2026 SS/2B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Kailua, HI who attends Red Mountain. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, starts from a slightly open stance with a simple load and timer, has fast hands and a short and direct swing, very good barrel skills and squared up everything, high contact swing but showed some power to the pull side gap as well. 7.33 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has quick feet and plenty of range, good first step, fields the ball cleanly with good arm strength across the diamond. Excellent student with a verbal commitment to Arizona State. Named to the PG Hawaii National Showcase Qualifier Top Prospect List.
