Valentin Ceballos is a 2028 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from New Braunfels, TX who attends New Braunfels. Strong athletic build with plenty of projection remaining. Primary third baseman with two-way potential on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a low hand start with a clean stride into contact, has bat speed and strength at contact, turns the barrel over well and makes hard contact, projectable hitting tools/skills. 7.27 runner in the sixty. Has longer actions at third base with a full arm action, charged the ball well and showed soft hands when he was balanced, very good raw arm strength, can quicken his release. Also worked out in the outfield with similar long actions and big carry on his throws. Throws from a staggered start delivery with a belt high leg raise, arm is fast and loose from a 3/4's arm slot, works down the slope well with good back side drive. Fastball topped out at 90 mph with plenty more velocity there. Curveball had nice spin and power with sharp biting action at times. Change up showed some fade. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
