Andrés Armenta is a 2028 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-11 167 lb. frame from Queen Creek, AZ who attends Casteel. Medium athletic build with some wiry young present strength. Outstanding runner, 6.45 in the sixty. In the outfield, he moves well with urgency and rounds the ball well. Fields off to the side. arm is quicka nd produces quality carry. Accurate to both bases with feel to one hop. Right-handed hitter, medium base, high back elbow, and high hands. Preset squatted base with feel to accelerate the barrel. Has shown quality in game results and connection to an advanced right-handed hack. On the mound, its a full windup from the first base side with free and loose movemnts down mound. Fastball has quality arm side run and fills up the zone. Mixed in a downer shaped breaking ball with occasional tilt too. Sequence both offerings well with a fading changeup. Good student. Named to play in the Perfect Game 14U Select Festival.
