Caine Fahrni is a 2026 SS/RHP/C with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Vancouver, BC who attends Killarney Secondary School. Lean and lanky young build. Primary shortstop on defense with two-way potential on the mound. Showed good arm strength in the infield with good transitions and the ability to throw from different slots, charged the ball well, gets the glove down on time, best actions on the move. Right handed hitter, sets up from a straight stance and a high hand load, simple timer, gets the barrel into the zone on time, middle of the field line contact, good base to continue to build from. Works from an abbreviated wind up on the mound with good athleticism and tempo and the ability to repeat, has a firm front side that he levers off effectively. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with very good ride up in the zone, commands his fastball well to both sides of the plate and pitches with confidence with the pitch. Curveball had some 11/5 action and was spotted well down in the zone. Plenty to like about the confidence and projectability.
