Giovanni Guariglia Jr is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Silverado. Big and thick build with plenty of present strength. Throws from an over the top arm slot with big downhill angle to the plate, some energy into release but controls it well. Fastball sat in the low 90's and topped out at 93 mph, gets nice carry through the zone with true back spin and up to 20" of IVB. Threw a slurvy hard curveball as his primary pitch, sharp biting action and created swing and miss in the zone, 2900+ rpm spin rates. Threw a straight and hard knuckle ball as his change up. Right handed hitter, sets up in a very spread stance with a deep hand load, turns hard with a lift and pull swing approach, ball comes off the barrel hard and he showed his power well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
