Alex Hoffman is a 2026 RHP/C/3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Charlotte Catholic. Big and strong athletic build. Works from a side step delivery with a knee tuck leg raise and upper body coil over the rubber, compact arm circle that hides the ball well, 3/4's arm slot, stays directional through release. Fastball was in the low 90's and topped out at 94 mph with four-seam characteristics through the zone and high spin rates. Slider was his best pitch with big sweeping action, created lots of ugly swings and takes with the slider and located it well, threw the slider at any count. 6.96 runner in the sixty. Hits from a spread stance with a long rotational upper body swing, has some raw bat speed and juice when everything comes together, will have to shorten up for more consistency against upper level pitching. Good student with a verbal commitment to Virginia Tech.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
