Joe Meloy is a 2026 SS with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Strake Jesuit College Prep. Young lean athletic build, projects very well physically. Right handed hitter, has good balance at the plate with solid present hitting fundamentals, compact and quick swing with a tight turn, has some young strength and can impact the ball well for his age, nice swing base to grow into as he matures physically. Very good runner, 6.70 in the sixty. Moves well on defense in the middle infield, good footwork to his backhand, has plenty of side to side range, arm works well and has some present carry across the diamond, made accurate throws. Very good young athlete with a bright future. Good student. Named to the South Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
